
The Starke County Local Emergency Planning Committee will be holding a meeting today, January 20th.
The meeting will take place at 1pm Central Time this afternoon, and will be held at the Meeting Room of the Annex 1 building, located at 53 East Mound Street in Knox; and will also be available on Zoom.
Under Old Business, committee members will plan a date for the next meeting of the Communications Committee, and will discuss updates on weather, training, and their Tier II and LEPC Plan.
Under the New Business section of the agenda, several items are listed. Committee members will discuss exercise planning for 2026 as well as review their 2025 exercises. They will discuss the upcoming year including any relevant bylaws, their goals for the year, and a training needs assessment.
Committee members will discuss updates from Emergency Support Functions and Stakeholders, as well as updates from Fire, EMS, Police, Highway, and other relevant local agencies.
After a space for any roundtable discussion, the meeting will be adjourned. The next meeting of the Local Emergency Planning Committee will be held April 20th, unless otherwise stated.
