Earlier today, WKVI shared a freeze warning announcement from the City of Knox.
Since then, several other area cities have instituted freeze warnings for their citizens, including Winamac, Francesville, Hamlet, and North Judson.
During a freeze warning, it is recommended that all water and sewer customers, both residential and commercial, leave the water running at a cold water faucet inside, until your town has announced a stop to the freeze warning. The flow of water should be the size of a toothpick, or pencil lead.
Some cities under a freeze warning have announced that customers will not be charged for the extra water usage during a freeze warning; to find out if your city is one of them, you can contact your local City Hall or Water Department.
