The Starke County Economic Development Foundation is gearing up for another year of its business pitch competition, Starke Tank.
Starke Tank 2026 will take place April 25th at the North Judson-San Pierre PAC Auditorium, at 5pm Central Time, and will feature pitches from entrepreneurs for their business ideas.
Applications for entrepreneurs who have a business idea they would like to pitch are being accepted now through March 12th, and can be found online at scedf.biz.
In 2025, seven local entrepreneurs presented pitches, with the winning business idea being Smart Choice Disposal, a low-cost option for trash pickup services in Knox and North Judson. Smart Choice Disposal received $12,000 in funding to help achieve its business goals.
