Food Bank of Northern Indiana announces March Mobile Food Distribution dates

The Food Bank of Northern Indiana has announced their Mobile Food Distribution dates for March, including dates in La Porte and Starke Counties.

In La Porte County this month, there will be a mobile food distribution on Friday, March 6th from 10 – 11:30am Central Time at the Salvation Army, located at 3240 Monroe Street. This distribution is sponsored by Morgan Stanley and will serve 200 households.

On Wednesday, March 11th, there will be another distribution in La Porte County, from 10am to noon Central Time at the Lacrosse Apostolic Christian Church at 508 Mill Street. This distribution is sponsored by Citizens Concerned for the Homeless and will serve 150 households.

On Thursday, March 19th, a distribution in Starke County will take place from 10 – 11:30am Central Time at the San Pierre Fire Department, which is at 102 Fisher Street. This distribution is sponsored by the Hardesty Memorial Endowment Fund through the Starke County Community Foundation, and the Starke County Health Department with additional food items provided by the USDA; and will serve 150 households.

The following Wednesday, March 25th there will be a distribution from 10am to 11:30am Central Time at the Marquette Mall, located at 201 West US 20 in Michigan City. The distribution will serve 350 households and is sponsored by Citizens Concerned for the Homeless.

All distributions are first come, first served, and while supplies last, for those in need of food assistance. All items are pre-boxed and pre-bagged with a limit of one box/bag per household.

As distributions are drive-through, attendees should remain in their vehicles and open trunks to receive items. There will be an area available for self-loading if your trunk does not open.
