Kankakee Valley REMC has announced they will be hosting a Trades Camp for high school students who are interested in exploring a career in the trades.
Registration is now open for their Trades Camp, which is scheduled to take place on March 10th of this year at Kankakee Valley REMC Headquarters. The camp will take place from 8am to 2:30pm Central Time, with lunch provided for attendees.
Students attending the camp will spend the day learning about real-world careers with a range of professionals across multiple trades, including plumbing and pipefitting, carpentry, electricity, and fiber optics.
This one-day camp is open to high school juniors and seniors and will give students a hands-on look at each trade, including what a day in the life looks like and steps the students can take now to help them prepare to enter the workforce.
Registration is limited to the first 60 students, with applications accepted until March 2nd or until all spots are filled.
Registration can be found online at kvremc.com.
