
The Starke County Coroner’s Office has released its statistics from February of this year.
According to the report, released this afternoon, there were a total of 9 calls to the Coroner’s Office during the month of February.
Eight of the calls were reported as natural causes, with one case still pending.
Other possible causes that could be reported include drug overdose, suicide, an accident or other, motor vehicle accidents, homicide, or undetermined.
Including the 7 cases the Coroner’s Office reported in January, there have been a total of 16 deaths the office has handled this year so far.
