The Starke County Plan Commission has added an agenda item to its upcoming meeting, to be held March 25th.
This is the meeting that is scheduled for 5:30pm Central Time on the 25th, to take place at the Starke County Annex 1’s meeting room, located at 53 East Mound Street in Knox.
The item added to the agenda is under old business, and is a discussion of Resolution 2026-PC-06, which is in regards to repealing the 2016 Permit Fee schedule and adopting a new schedule of fees.
During this discussion, there will be a presentation of a new ordinance draft and an updated fee schedule, proposed to replace the 2016 schedule. The Commissioners will review a proposed increase of approximately 5% across the board.
If the board comes to a consensus on this item, the next step will be to proceed to public hearing.
The public is invited to attend this meeting, which will also have discussions regarding the restriction of large-scale solar and data center projects in the county.
