The Starke County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting nominations for two different awards; the Sheriff’s Commendation for Public Service Award, and the Emerging Leader Award.
The Sheriff’s Commendation for Public Service Award is to honor local ‘unsung heroes’ who spend their time building safer, kinder, and more connected neighborhoods.
The Emerging Leader Award is aimed specifically at local youth, aged 17 and under, who have shown leadership skills, character, and a tendency towards service.

One nominee from each category outlined online will be selected each quarter; with a committee reviewing nominations and choosing recipients.
Winners may only receive the award once per calendar year and will be notified of their win by the Starke County Sheriff’s Office.
Unselected nominees may be resubmitted in future quarters.
