Starke County Humane Society offers transport to low cost spay and neuter clinics

A low cost spay and neuter clinic will be taking place soon, and Starke County Humane Society is offering transport to the event.

According to an announcement made last week, the Humane Society will be offering transports for both April 13th and May 11th.

If the spay and neuter services are for outdoor or feral cats, no appointment is necessary and up to 2 animals per person may be brought. For feral cats the cost is $60, and for outdoor cats the cost is $70. Both packages include a spay or neuter, 3 years’ of Rabies vaccines, flea treatment, pain medication injection, and the left ear is tipped 1/4″ to note the cat has been treated. There may be additional fees if the cat is pregnant.

The transport service is $12, and animals other than outdoor and feral cats do need an appointment beforehand.

Appointments can be scheduled by calling 317-675-0072, please mention you would like to use the Starke County Transport when you are setting the appointment.

On the day of the clinic, check-in time is from 6-6:30am Central Time, with animals to be returned by 7pm Central Time.
