Knox Board of Works Informed about Brightspeed Bore Gone Wrong

During the January regular meeting of the Knox Board of Works, Director of Building, Planning and Code Compliance Lonnie Boley informed the board about a matter that involved a Brightspeed boring gone wrong. Boley stated that he had received a call from a homeowner. The homeowner had hired Home Comfort because his septic sewer system hadn’t been working since October.

Knox Board of Works Votes to Condemn John Street Apartments

Director of Building, Planning and Code Compliance Lonnie Boley updated the Knox Board of Works regarding several properties during the board’s November meeting. The apartments located at 305 E. John Street were the source of most of the discussion. By the end of the discussion, the board unanimously voted to condemn the apartments.

Starke County Commissioners Discuss Missing keys, Dishwashers, and Easement Bids

During the recent meeting of the Starke County Commissioners, County Extension Director Julia Miller, Purdue Extension Starke County, presented the annual contractual services that the County Commissioner President signs each year. In that document, it includes a budget that has been previously approved by the Starke County Council.
