Culver School Board Gets Update on Summer Food Program
The Culver Community Schools Corporation is reporting success with its efforts to provide free meals to local children during the summer months. Food Services Director Carin Clifton gave the school board an update Monday on the Summer Food Service Program. It’s sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and aims to give meals to children 18 and younger, as well as adults with disabilities who are enrolled in a state-approved education program. Five Ft. Wayne Residents Arrested for Dealing Meth

LaPorte County police say they’ve arrested five people who they believe traveled from Fort Wayne to sell illicit drugs. The LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office says an investigation over the last few days culminated in the planned arrests in the parking lot of the LaPorte Walmart at around 4:45 Thursday afternoon. Arrest Made in Connection with 1997 Bank Robbery

A Florida man currently incarcerated in the Fulton County Jail now faces charges in connection with a 1997 bank robbery in Miami County. According to the Indiana State Police, the First Farmers Bank and Trust in Amboy was allegedly held up on December 18, 1997. By the time officers arrived, the suspect had allegedly left the bank and run to a vehicle. Continue reading
LSD, Cocaine, Meth Allegedly Found During Fulton County Traffic Stop

An Ohio man was arrested in Fulton County Thursday, after police say they found LSD, cocaine, meth, and other drugs in the van he was driving. Culver School Board Reverses Administrative Cut, Delays Naming Permanent Superintendent
The Culver Community Schools Corporation has changed its plans for administrative cuts, due to some recent resignations. Last December, the school corporation recommended cutting two administrative positions, as well as some teaching jobs, as a cost-saving measure.
