Plans for Monterey School Building Sale Clear Another Hurdle
The Culver Community Schools Corporation’s path to selling the Monterey School Building has suddenly gotten a bit easier. Last month, school corporation attorney Jeff Houin told the school board the building would have to be registered with the Indiana Department of Education, which would place it on a statewide list of unused buildings. The Culver Community Schools Corporation formally unveiled its new logo family during Monday’s school board meeting, they even handed out some large back patches for vest of their logo so people could sew them on. The City of Knox is planning to move ahead with its blight elimination efforts. Knox was awarded grant funding from the state in 2014 to buy and demolish homes that were in poor condition, but since then, the project has seen little progress, due in part to trouble the city’s had with filing the required documents required by the grant program. Pulaski County Human Services to Provide Limited Services at Medaryville Library
The former Medaryville library branch is expected to reopen to give residents access to computers, as well as the Pulaski County Public Library’s digital services.
