Knox Announces Continued Leaf Pickup Schedule
The City of Knox will continue leaf pickup into December as weather allows, and has announced a schedule for the remaining passes.
Leaves will be picked up in Precinct 1 on Mondays, Precinct 2 on Tuesdays, Precinct 3 on Wednesdays and Precinct 4 on Thursdays. Friday will be a catch-up day as time allows. Continue reading

North Judson Mourns Death of Longtime Community Servant
A lifelong North Judson resident recognized for his service to both his country and Starke County died on Veterans Day. Perry Lucas was 89. He was born on Sept. 2, 1927 in Knox to Perry Franklin and Mary Frances (Baughman) Lucas and lived in Starke County his entire life. Continue reading

Do Not Call Deadline Approaching
The Indiana Attorney General’s Office credits nearly 3,500 complaints filed with his office about an IRS imposter scam for cutting down on the number of phony phone calls. They resulted in a raid in Indiana last month, which broke up the telemarketing ring. Since then Attorney General Greg Zeoller says complaints have dropped from nearly 500 in September to just 67 in October. Continue reading
