Ambulance Repairs Plague Starke County EMS
Starke County EMS has struggled with ambulance repairs over the past month, according to Director Keith Emigh. He told the county commissioners Tuesday the truck based at Grovertown had to be towed to Jim Dobson Ford in Winamac after the cooler went out. Starke County is among the first to implement a change in pretrial release procedures recommended by the Indiana Supreme Court. North Judson Plans Legal Action over Condition of Downtown Building
The Town of North Judson plans to move forward with legal action over a downtown building deemed to be unsafe. During the previous council meeting, the town scheduled a walk-through of Doug Cassel’s building to determine whether safety concerns had been addressed. Burglary Suspects Nabbed Following Pulaski County Pursuit
A man and woman from Monticello were arrested in Pulaski County early this morning after trying to outrun sheriff’s deputies. They responded to an open-line 911 call from a residence in the area of State Road 39 and County Road 400 South around 2 a.m. and found a man and a woman in a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence. Knox Plan Administrator, Code Enforcement and Building Inspector Terminated
The City of Knox will soon have a new planning administrator, building inspector and code enforcement officer. The Plan Commission voted Tuesday night to terminate Bruce Williams, at the recommendation of Mayor Dennis Estok. He’s expressed frustrations on several occasions with the slow progress of code enforcement efforts and says he decided to go in another direction. Continue reading
