Ben A. Bennett, 77 years old of Knox, Indiana, died Thursday, January 11, 2018 in Knox, Indiana.
He was born Friday, August 16, 1940 in Knox, Indiana, Son of the late Chester Bennett and the late Thelma(Leonard) Bennett.
Ben was a member of the Knox Center Twp Fire Department, Knox School Board, Starke Memorial Hospital Board and Crown Hill Cemetery Board.
He worked as a farmer and Knox rural mail carrier.
Surviving are Son, Kirk(Dolores) Bennett of Knox, Indiana, Daughter, Andrea(Butch) Gerstandt of Knox, Indiana, Daughter, Connie(Joe) Fluet of Woodbridge, Virginia, 5 grandchildren Amanda Lewandowski of Knox, Indiana, Brooke Norem of Knox, Indiana, Beau Bennett of Knox, Indiana, Ben Fluet of Woodbridge, Virginia and Jay Fluet of Woodbridge, Virginia 2 great-grandchildren Dylan Lewandowski of Knox, Indiana and Taylor Lewandowski of Knox, Indiana, Brother, Bruce(Sandy) Bennett of Knox, Indiana, Sister, Bernice(Stan) Koby of Cedar Lake, Indiana, Sister, Betty(Rick) Osterreicher of Summerfield, Florida, Sister, Barbara Gilliland of Dodge Center, Minnesota and dear friend and companion Marianne Gappa of Knox, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy(Moroni) Bennett and parents Chester and Thelma Bennett, brother Bill Bennett and sister Beverly Minix.
Friends will be received 4-8 PM, Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana.
Services will be held at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Monday, January 15, 2018 at 11 AM with Rev. John Cargo and Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating.
Interment will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery.
