Florence Mae Brentlinger, age 89, of Knox, passed away Monday, September 7, 2020. Florence was born February 18, 1931 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Harley T. Shady and Mae Florence Keller Shady, both deceased. She spent her working career in nursing, as an O.B. Nurse and as the Starke County Health Nurse. She is survived by her children, Debra Fosler (Bob) of Hamlet, Sandra Rockwell (Bob) of Lafayette, Indiana, and Jeffery Brentlinger (Bet) of Indianapolis, a sister, Janet Welch of Arizona, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Brentlinger in 1982.
Funeral services will take place Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 2:00pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services, at the Knox United Methodist Church. Interment is private. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
