Gwenith N. Stone, a kindhearted and gentle soul, passed away peacefully at her granddaughter’s home in Knox on Monday, August 5, 2025. She was 90 years old.
Gwen was born on June 15, 1935, in Cleaton, Kentucky to the late George “Edward” and Abigail (Shemwell) Mathis.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM CDT at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM CDT. Gwen will be laid to rest beside her husband in Burr Oak Cemetery.
