Janet Charlene Black, age 71, of Knox, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020. She was born December 31, 1948 in Campton, Kentucky to McClellan and Peggy Pauline (Caudill) Stamper, both deceased. She was self-employed most of her life and enjoyed sales. She loved cooking, baking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Palmer Black Jr. (Theresa) of Knox, Angel Leazenby (Ryan) of Wimauma, Florida, and Anthony “Tony” Black (Rachel) of Culver, sisters and brothers, Pearlie Caudillo (Tito), Edith Fletcher, Kathy “Gail” Bailey, Sylvia Vician (Mike), Myra Fawley (John), Rhonda Salyer (Larry), Michael Stamper, Kelly Stamper, Keith Stamper (Wanetta) and Kendall Stamper, grandchildren, Courtney, Hayley (Nathanael), Mariah (Donovan), Ashley (Hunter), Robert, Amber, Emily, Paige, and Austin, and great grandchildren, Cyrena and Giana. She was preceded in death by a sister Ruthie May and a brother, Calvin.
Visitation will take place Sunday, November 29, 2020 from 4-6pm (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, November 30, 2020 at 11am (CT), with visitation one hour prior to services at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Knox.
