JC Minix, Age 86, passed away Friday, July 17, 2020 in his home surrounded by loved ones. JC was born in Carver, Kentucky on April 4, 1934 to Langley and Francis Minix. JC was a very strong out going, hard working man that loved his children and his family. Nothing meant more to him. He married Joyce Louise Campbell in June of 1952 and had 5 boys and 2 girls together. After Joyce passed away, he married Nila Wilcox in October of 2002. He loved family gatherings, singing and playing guitar. He and Nila loved music and dancing together. He loved working in their garden, trips to Kentucky and worshiping the Lord. He loved to read his Bible and listening to Shepherd Chapel.
He leaves behind his current wife of 18 years, Nila; Ronald (Janet) Minix of Hamlet, IN, Donald (Geraldine) Minix of Lafayette, Tennessee, James Minix of Rensselaer, IN, Alan (Annette) Minix of Rensselaer, IN, Adam (Stacie) Minix of Rensselaer, IN, Jamie Biggs (Minix) of Rensselaer, IN, Billie Jo Biggs of Francesville, IN, Richard (Ann) Wilcox of Winamac, IN, Warren (Diane) Wilcox of Kansas, 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild to be born in November.
He is also survived by three sisters; Leatrice Hochstedler, Loretta Craft and Edna Mae Richie. JC was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Joyce Louise, a daughter, Raelane Cater, three brothers, Don, Denver, and Billie Joe; two sisters, Winona Fritz and Jaunita Howard. Visitation will be 11 AM CT Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at the O’Donnell Funeral Home, Inc., North Judson, Indiana. Funeral Services will follow at 1 PM CT at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery, North Judson, Indiana
