Judith M. Singleton, age 75, of Hurricane, West Virginia, formerly of Knox, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020. Judith was born October 28, 1945 in LaPorte, Indiana to Raymond and Neddie Coleman Stephenson, both deceased. She had spent all of her life in Starke County until moving to West Virginia seven years ago. She had been a very active member of the Knox Moose Lodge and was a former Senior Regent. In May of 2000 she married Gregory Singleton Sr., he survives.
Also surviving are her children, Greg Singleton Jr. of Fulton, IN, Corina Walker (Chad) of Monticello, IN, and Dayna Voter (Jason) of Hurricane, WV, a brother, Terry Stephenson (Geneval) of Knox, a sister, Vickie Vermilyer (Terry) of Franklin, TN, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband J.B. Combs in 1997. A visitation will take place on Monday, November 16, 2020 from 11am to 1pm (CT) at the M.C. Smith Funeral Home. A private funeral service will take place with burial following at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox. The family will be limiting the number of people able to come into the chapel for visitation and ask that everyone wear a mask.
