Palmer E. Black Sr., age 75, of Culver, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 7, 2025.
Palmer was born December 10, 1949 in Morehead, Kentucky to Wilbert Black and Missouri (Combs) Black, both deceased.
He retired from the UAW having worked many years at Ford Motor Company.
He loved working on old cars, trucks and tractors, traveling and hanging out with his friends at O’s Tap.
He is survived by his children, Palmer Black Jr. (Theresa) of Knox, Anthony “Tony” Black (Rachel) of Culver, Angel Leazenby (Ryan) of Salt Lick, Kentucky and Briana Vinogradov (Kory) of Tampa, Florida, brothers and sisters, Wilbert “Bug” Black (Sue) of Morehead, Kentucky, Joan Fouch (Tommy) of Morehead, Kentucky, Bonnie Jones of Morehead, Kentucky and Gus Black (Darlena) of Morehead, Kentucky, ten grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters.
A visitation will take place on Friday, September 12, 2025 from 4-7pm (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 10am (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox.
Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Knox.
