Incidents:
9/15/14 – A resident in the 5000 block of East Grant Street in Bass Lake reported the windows of her car were shattered and the tires on her husband’s vehicle were flattened sometime overnight.
9/15/14 – Samuel H. Hulme, 32, of North Judson, hit a deer on 100 West south of State Road 10 in North Judson.
9/15/14 – A resident in the 1200 block of West 150 South in Knox reported the theft of her Allied Waste trash bin sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning.
9/15/14 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Department, Starke County EMS and Washington Township Fire Department responded to a report of a crash on 700 East at 50 South in Knox. A witness said a car went through the stop sign and into the woods.
9/15/14 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Department, Koontz Lake Fire Department and Starke County EMS responded to a rollover wreck in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 30 west of 1200 East.
9/16/14 – A North Judson resident reported the theft of items from a home in the 5800 block of West 500 South in North Judson.
9/16/14 – A San Pierre woman reported her car window was busted out and the remote control mirror was ripped from her car sometime Saturday in the 10400 block of West State Road 10 in San Pierre.
9/16/14 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Department, Starke County EMS, North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department and North Judson Police Department responded to a report of a slide-off accident in the 7800 block of South 1200 West in San Pierre.
9/16/14 – A resident in the 8200 block of North High Street in Walkerton reported her son was assaulted by another student at Oregon-Davis Schools today and has a slight concussion.
9/16/14 – A resident in the 10100 block of East 700 North in Walkerton reported the theft of $500 from the home.
9/16/14 – A resident in the 1500 block of South 300 East in Knox filed an identity theft report.
9/16/14 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Department responded to a property damage accident at 200 South and 350 East.
9/17/14 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Department responded to an accident with injuries at 1100 East and 400 North in Grovertown.
9/17/14 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two-vehicle property damage accident at 1025 East and 200 North in Grovertown.
9/17/14 – A resident in the 1600 block of East 250 South in Knox reported his house was broken into and a HP Think Pad was stolen.
9/17/14 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Department responded to a property damage accident at the intersection of 25 North and 600 East in Knox.
9/18/14 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Department took a report of a vehicle versus deer accident on 1150 East 2.5 miles south of State Road 10.
9/18/14 – A resident in the 8200 block of North Tippecanoe Drive in Knox reported the theft of items from a utility closet connected to the house.
9/19/14 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Department was advised the office buildings on State Road 8 east of 100 East in Knox have been broken into and several items have been taken.
9/19/14 – A plate compactor was reported stolen from Fletcher Cemetery on 400 North at 700 East in Grovertown.
9/19/14 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Department, Starke County EMS and Hamlet Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 35 at 500 North in Hamlet.
9/19/14 – The Indiana State Police took a crash report from the victim of a vehicle versus deer accident on State Road 10 at Range Road.
9/20/14 – A resident in the 10500 block of East State Road 23 in Kootz Lake called the Starke County Sheriff’s Department to file a criminal mischief report.
9/20/14 – Officers were called to the Grovertown Truck Stop on U.S. 30 to take a report from a semi driver who said he was involved in a hit and run.
9/20/14 – A resident in the 7900 block of North Tippecanoe Drive North in Koontz Lake reported a tree fell on her vehicle and said she needs a report for insurance. She also reported power lines down.
9/20/14 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a vehicle in the south ditch on Toto Road near 550 East.
9/20/14 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Department, Starke County EMS and North Judson Fire Department First Responders were called to the intersection of State Road 10 and State Road 39 in North Judson for a three-vehicle accident with injuries.
9/21/14 – The owner of a property in the 900 block of North 1025 East in Knox reported the theft of an air conditioning unit.
9/21/14 – A resident reported his garage at the intersection of State Road 10 and Grant Street in Knox was broken into and several items were stolen.
9/21/14 – A resident in the 6300 block of South 375 West in North Judson reported the theft of several items from a vehicle overnight.
Arrests:

9/17/14 – Tony Anderson Glover, 29, South Bend – Public Intoxication.
9/17/14 – William E. Nies, 57, LaCrosse – Operating a vehicle while intoxicated (misdemeanor), possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
9/20/14 – Timothy Joseph Curtis, 26, Knox – Operating a vehicle while intoxicated (felony) and operating a vehicle while intoxicated (misdemeanor).
Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department
Incidents:
9-16-14 – Winamac Police respond to a report of stolen property. Items include an X-Box, games and knives.
9-17-14 – Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies take a report of a stolen moped. I t was later recovered in a cornfield.
9-18-14 – Winamac Police take a report of stolen cigarettes from a vehicle.
9-18-14 – The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department is notified of a stolen picnic table and possible other items.
9-18-14 – Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies take a report of stolen scrap metal.
9-18-14 – Winamac police respond to a report of a stolen rental vehicle.
9-20-14 – Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies are notified of two chairs stolen from in front of a grocery store.

Incidents:
09/15/14 North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely conducted a traffic stop on Roberts Lane and State Road 39 South that resulted in charges being filed. Dustin A, Kanschat, 34, of Kewanna had preliminary charges of driving while suspended and operation with no valid license.
09/15/14 A report of a protection order violation was taken and furnished to the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office for review of invasion of privacy charges. The incident occurred in the 100 block of S. Schricker Avenue.
09/16/14 A resident reported to police that he was battered and sustained no major injuries. The incident happened in the 100 Block of Talmer Avenue. Charges were requested through the Prosecutor’s Office.
09/16/14 Police investigated a battery that occurred near the Weninger Street Park. Two women were involved and both are requesting charges against each other. A report for review was filed with the Prosecutor.
09/17/14 A police report was taken in regards to illegal dumping of trash by putting personal garbage into a business dumpster, which is theft of services. The problem is believed to have been resolved.
09/17/14 Police received reports of roadside dumping of trash outside of the city limits. This was referred to the Indiana Conservation Department.
09/17/14 Police conducted a mini warrant round-up that resulted in the arrest of two male subjects. Matthew Blount, 27, of North Judson was arrested on a warrant for a probation violation on a manufacturing of methamphetamine charge and Matthew J. Diaz, 20, of Knox was arrested on a preliminary charge of illegal possession of alcoholic beverages.
09/18/14 A property damage only accident was investigated by officer Frank Thomas in the Subway parking lot. A vehicle backed into another parked vehicle. Officer Thomas set damages at over $1,000.
09/18/14 A telephone and text harassment complaint was taken in the 300 block of Dalhke Street.
09/19/14 A loose dog and cat report was received from residents in the 700 block of Cherry Street. North Judson Police returned the animals and spoke with the owners.
09/19/14 A simple battery report is pending and police took a complaint of an adult son and father arguing along the roadside of Talmer Avenue near Luken Street. No injuries were reported and all subjects went home.
09/19/14 A home owner in the 5800 block of 250 West called about a suspicious vehicle that had stopped in front of the home.
09/20/14 Officer Nick Vanni responded to a call in the 5100 block of 350 West for a criminal damage report for the destruction of property and for a battery report.. After a short investigation, the suspect, Corey A. McClung, 19, was arrested on preliminary charge of criminal mischief and battery.
09/20/14 A serious personal injury accident occurred at State Road 10 and State Road 39 North around 7:25 p.m. Saturday. North Judson Officer Nick Vanni was the first to arrive. Three vehicles were involved in the accident. Starke County EMS requested Med Flight, however no helicopter could take off due to the poor weather conditions. Alcohol was a factor and toxicology screens are pending. The Starke County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the accident and Officer Vanni is assisting. The Starke County Sheriff’s Department, North Judson Police Department, North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department, and Starke County EMS all responded to the scene. Additional information is not being released at this time.
Arrests:
09/16/14 Dustin A. Kanchat, 34, 6865 E. Engle Dr. Kewanna, IN, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle without a license.
09/17/14 Matthew S. Blount, 27, 1417 W. 400 South, North Judson, IN, was arrested on a probation violation in regards to a methamphetamine charge.
09/17/14 Matthew J. Diaz, 20, of 303 Mound Street, Knox, IN, was arrested for a warrant for illegal possession of alcohol.
09/20/14 Corey A. McClung, 19, of 5180 S. 350 West, North Judson, IN, was arrested on preliminary charges of battery and criminal mischief.
