A 19-year-old man is hospitalized in Indianapolis after a hit-and-run accident early Sunday morning outside a LaPorte business.
Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run crash in the parking lot of Tely’s Nightclub on SR 2 W. around 3:30 a.m. Sunday. They found two men sitting in the parking lot holding the victim, who was bleeding severely from his head. The teen was initially taken to the local hospital before being airlifted to Indianapolis for treatment of severe head trauma.
Witnesses initially told police they saw a dark colored vehicle performing “donuts” around the victim who was walking in the parking lot. The vehicle struck the victim and fled west bound through the Kmart parking lot.
Police later learned that a white Cadillac Escalade or similar vehicle may have been involved instead.
