Incidents:
01/16/11 Officers responded to a call of possible shots fired. Police reported the status was ok and no one was around the area.
01/16/11 Police pulled over a car in front of the Marathon Station in Winamac. The driver was cited for no license and had a child restraint violation.
01/16/11 A caller reported two tires on the passenger side of her vehicle have been slashed. Police later met with two people who witnessed the incident.
01/15/11 A caller reported that renters had moved out of the house and when the caller went to the house, the caller found that someone had broken into the home and stole items.
01/14/11 A couple in White Township is requesting extra patrol. The wife reported hearing a noise outside the residence that night. When the husband got up today, there were fresh tracks in the snow that led up to the house.
01/14/11 A resident in Indian Township called police to report that a black car had pulled up to his residence and sat there with parking lights on for over an hour. When the resident went to see what what going on, the driver left.
01/14/11 A caller in Rich Grove Township reported to police that people are hunting on his property without permission.
01/14/11 A resident in Winamac reported people riding four wheelers through his back yard.
01/14/11 A resident in White Township reported finding a gun.
01/11/11 A resident reported the theft of a jacket. The caller reported she had worn the jacket to a basketball game. Cameras caught the act and a follow up investigation will take place.
01/11/11 A vehicle fire was reported in Jefferson Township. The owner reported the fire had started in the garage and the vehicle was pulled out of the garage and there isn’t anyone around it.

01/11/11 A woman in Medaryville told police that two subjects held her at knifepoint and broke the window out of her vehicle.

01/12/11 Cindy Parkison reported the theft of a lawn mower.
01/12/11 Linda Holland reported damage to her gate on her property. The suspect used a cutting device to cut the board nearly completely through and forced the gate partially open. Evidence showed that a suspect attempted to open two windows of the residence.

01/15/11 A resident in the 3500 block of State Road 23 called police to report a recovered gun. It was taken to the Sheriff’s Department.
01/15/11 Patricia Pearl told police she was driving down Toto Road and a passing vehicle threw a bottle of the window and it struck her vehicle and caused damage.
01/15/11 Rodney Sanders called police to report that his brother’s residence had been broken into. There was an ax located outside the door.
01/15/11 A Monterey resident called police to report his dog was shot by the neighbors.
01/15/11 Ed Reiss reported that some unknown suspect(s) hit his chain link fence and damaged a telephone box.
01/15/11 Connie Snyder called to report her gold 1998 Ford Windstar van was missing.
01/12/11 A resident in the 400 S. and 200 E. area in Knox reported a stolen motorcycle.
01/11/11 Tami Linback called to report that her mailbox was hit.
01/11/11 A Knox Community School bus was involved in a minor accident with another vehicle. The two vehicles hit mirrors and suffered no other damage and no injuries were reported.
01/11/11 A caller reported a window broken at an old garage store in English Lake.
01/11/11 An alleged battery occurred at the Starke County jail in a cell block. Four inmates were reportedly involved and one suffered injuries. Eight inmates were in the block at the time of the alleged incident.
01/10/11 Todd Meloy reported his mailbox destroyed for the seventh straight day.

01/14/11 Richard Hamm, 26, of North Judson, IN, was arrested on a preliminary charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
01/10/11 Ryan Nissen, 30, of Griffith, IN was arrested on preliminary charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Law Enforcement.
From the North Judson Police Department:
Incidents:
01/11/10 North Judson Police investigated a property damage only accident in the parking lot of the CVS Pharmacy. One vehicle was backing out of a parking spot and hit another vehicle in the side. North Judson Chief Doug Vessely estimated the damage at less than $1,000 and no injuries were reported. Driver of the first vehicle was Cathy Calhoun of Knox in a 2004 Jeep, who backed into a 1999 Toyota being driven by Carolyn Haskins of North Judson.
01/13/10 The Dollar General requested the North Judson Police for a shoplifter in the store. North Judson Officer Joe Budner responded and arrested Michelle M. Riley of Culver for Conversion.
