Incidents:
10/21/12 Tires were slashed, vehicle ransacked, and a stereo was taken from a car parked in the 200 Block of Weninger Street. North Judson Police continue to investigate and believe this to have stemmed from a domestic incident.
10/20/12 Police continue to investigate a battery report stemming from an incident at a local restaurant and bar. No major injuries were reported and a complete report was provided to the Starke County Prosecutor for review.
10/19/12 North Judson police and the Starke County Sheriff’s Department responded to a welfare check in the 3000 Block of 625 South. An out-of-state mother requested her child’s welfare be checked because she thought he was intoxicated.
10/19/12 Early Friday evening, the North Judson police were investigating a report of harassment and intimidation involving telephone calls and texts between two adult females.
10/18/12 North Judson Deputy Police Chief Joe Budner investigated a property damage accident on State Road 10, near the intersection of Ufkes Drive, around 10:00 a.m. A 2002 Honda Coupe, being driven by Ian McBride of North Judson rear-ended a 1999 Buick as it was in the process of turning south onto Ufkes Drive from State Road 10. Tamara Howsare, also of North Judson, was driving the Buick. Chief Deputy Budner estimated the total damages at over $2,500. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.
10/18/12 A report of the port-a-potty placed at the North Judson soccer field was knocked over. This was the second time that it had been turned over. The North Judson police filed a criminal mischief report with the Starke County Probation Department. Witness’s identified a juvenile suspect that reportedly pushed over the unit.
10/17/12 After coming across a suspicious incident, North Judson police have requested charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Hypodermic Needle through the Starke County Prosecutor against a local woman.
10/17/12 A resident in the 700 Block of Laurel Street reported a laptop stolen. A family member is believed to have been involved in the theft.
10/17/12 North Judson police took a report of an item taken several weeks ago after the item was found at a local pawn shop.
10/17/12 Another young child was reported to have left his home in the 800 Block of Bender Street, where the father retrieved the child after a few minutes. North Judson police again furnished a complete report to the Department of Family Services for review.
10/16/12 Police responded to a call where a large dog was running at large in the area of the 200 Block of Garden Street. After locating the animal and obtaining the dog tag number, the dog was returned to the owner. Police issued a $50.00 ordinance ticket. This was the third time the animal had gotten loose in the past 18 months.
10/15/12 Police investigated a report of a young male child unattended and alone on the street in the area of the North Judson Post Office. The mother of the child did pick up the boy after a few minutes. A complete report was furnished to the Department of Family Services. The boy was fine and it appears to be an isolated incident.

10/20/12 Brian Wayne Aasand, 23, 9360 W. 900 South, San Pierre, IN, arrested on a warrant through Starke County for Over Purchase of Pseudoephedrine.

10/21/12 A woman called police to report that she was involved in a battery incident in the Star City area.
10/21/12 A Winamac man reported his vehicle stolen and later found it upside down off the road in Fulton County.
10/21/12 An employee at Ace Hardware told police that a man was stealing from the store. The employee asked the suspect about it and he said he didn’t take anything and appeared to have turned around and put it back on the shelf. He ran out the front door of the store.
10/21/12 Police responded to a personal injury accident at the intersection of State Road 14 and State Road 39. One person involved in the accident reportedly was entrapped with a head injury.
10/20/12 A woman reported her iPhone stolen and later found it at the pawn shop in Knox.
10/19/12 A Winamac resident called for help from the fire department. The complaintant advised that a pile of leaves on fire was almost extinguished, but wants the fire department on scene to make sure the fire is out.
10/18/12 A person shopping in the Winamac shopping center reported that some unknown person(s) hit her vehicle and did some minimal damage.
10/18/12 A driver ran into the building that houses The Smoke Shop in downtown Winamac. Winamac police advised that it was minor damage and the driver said he would take care of the damages.
10/17/12 Police took an AWOL National Guard soldier into custody.
10/17/12 An truck pulling a wagon full of corn tipped over spilling corn into the roadway.
10/16/12 A Winamac resident called police to report that a person attempted to break into the residence by throwing a cinder block through the front door causing damage.
10/16/12 A clerk from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Winamac called police to report that someone just hit the building.
10/16/12 A Winamac woman told police that her home stereo system was stolen from her and saw it at the pawn shop in Knox.
10/15/12 The Medaryville Street Department got a phone call for the theft of street signs.
10/15/12 The Medaryville Police Department was notified that several people were in the old garment factory that don’t have clearance to be in there.
10/15/12 A Medaryville woman received a check from American Friends of Rugby School for $3,000. She cashed the check and found out that it was a fake and now the bank wants the money back.
Several car vs. deer accident were reported to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department. Officials urge you to drive with caution, especially with the deer rutting season and hunting season right around the corner.

10/20/12 Tanya Fisher, 37, of Elkhart, IN, arrested on a body attachment.
10/18/12 Michael Mills, 35, of Winamac, IN, arrested on a Work Release Violation.
10/18/12 Casey Carter, 21, of Rensselaer, IN, arrested on a Probation Violation.
10/18/12 Charlotte Rupert, 25, of Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Resisting Law Enforcement.

10/22/12 Brian Rowe reported the theft of a roofing gun, a GPS unit and a Craftsman vinyl tool bag.
10/22/12 Terry Depoy told police that his daughter’s car was ransacked while sitting in the driveway.
10/22/12 Gary Pancek reported that two basement windows were broken out at a rental property he owns, although no entry was made into the residence.
10/22/12 Laine Hurley contacted police to report that her husband’s unlocked car was broken into. Two buck knives were missing from the vehicle and a handgun, along with miscellaneous change.
10/22/12 Michael Jordan reported the theft of a rifle from his work truck.
10/21/12 Shannon McMillan told police that entry was made into his vehicle. Items had been removed from the vehicle and were laying in his yard. The vehicle was unlocked at the time of the incident.
10/21/12 Nichole Draper called police to report that some unknown person(s) entered her unlocked vehicle and stole money.
10/21/12 A Gator moped reported stolen was recovered at a garage on S. Portland Street.
10/20/12 The manager at Dollar General reported that shoppers in the store allegedly stole an item and dumped carpet cleaner all over the floor.
10/20/12 A sales manager at Best Ford reported a vandalism incident involving one of their vehicles. The suspect(s) unsuccessfully tried to pry the handle off with a screwdriver which damaged the door and the paint. Metal shavings were found inside the vehicle and the steering column had been badly damaged. The control for the plow was stolen.

10/17/12 Dennis Kilburn, 45, 796 Gaylord Rd., Dresden, TN arrested on a preliminary charge of Public Intoxication.
