From the North Judson Police Department:
Incidents:
12/01/12 Officers handled a suicidal subject call where a young man had stabbed himself in the neck with an object. The 24-year-old male was detained on a 72 hour emergency hold and transported to IU Health Starke Hospital.
12/01/12 Another resident reported to officers that unknown subject[s] had squirted ketchup onto the front door and porch area of a home in the 300 Block of Hancock Street.
12/01/12 After a traffic stop in the North Judson area, a 16-year-old male passenger was detained and returned to his parents by the North Judson when it was discovered that he had consumed some alcoholic beverages.
11/30/12 North Judson Police responded to a call concerning a personal property dispute in the 400 Block of Keller Avenue.
11/30/12 Officers received a complaint of a broken front window at a storage building at 110 N. Jones St. A cinder block had been thrown through the glass window. No entry was made and no items were reported missing. This remains under investigation.
11/30/12 Neighbors reported a silver Acura vehicle that had passed a school bus arm that was stopped in the 4800 Block of State Road 10. This was in the afternoon when the bus was taking children home after the school day. Extra patrols were requested.
11/27/12 Another complaint was filed from residents in the 500 Block of Keller Avenue in reference to a dog running loose and defecating on neighbors properties. One report stated the animal’s owner walked the dog on a leash and allowed the dog to defecate on a neighbor’s property. In either case, the Town of North Judson has an ordinance against this. The dog owner is responsible for cleaning up after their animal when the animal relieves itself on any property, other than on the owner’s property.
11/27/12 While on patrol, police located a vacant home at 502 Crystal Street that had been vandalized. Windows were broken and interior walls were damaged. Anyone with information concerning this senseless crime is asked to call the North Judson Police Department at (574) 772-5914.
11/26/12 A resident in the 6500 Block of 375 West called the North Judson Police in reference to a stray dog described as a black lab and pit mix. The animal was picked up and taken to the Starke County Humane Society. The dog had no tags, collar or a chip.
Arrests:
11/29/12 Cody J. Barnette, 19, 5017 South 275 West, of North Judson, IN was arrested on a Starke County Warrant for Revocation of Bond and a preliminary charge of Resisting Law Enforcement.

Incidents:
12/03/12 Hiram Noble, Jr. reported the theft of a cell phone.
12/03/12 Diane Woodard told police that her daughter’s money is missing.
12/03/12 The store clerk at the Next Door Food Store reported theft of items. This case remains under investigation.
11/28/12 Knox officers took in 1,000 syringes and medication for disposal from the friend of a resident who had been placed into a rehab facility.
11/28/12 John McGrath reported criminal damage done to his rental property. The inside frame to the front door to the property was laying on the floor just inside the entryway. Two TVs were reportedly missing from the house.

12/03/12 Eric Wireman, 23, 203 N. Main St, Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Paraphernalia. He also had an active arrest warrant for Failure to Appear.
12/02/12 Sherry Wireman, 50, 2885 E. 150 S., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Illegal Drug Lab, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
12/01/12 Matthew Norem, 19, 1015 W. 400 S., North Judson, IN arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and Trafficking with an Inmate.
12/01/12 Marianne Glossinger, 53, 1755 N. 300 E., Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.
11/30/12 Christopher Fields, 38, 301 N. East St. Trailer 27, Winamac, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Law Enforcement, Reckless Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance (X2), Possession of Marijuana.
