Incidents:
04/19/13 Several complaints of flooding were made to the dispatch center.
04/19/13 Police were notified of a possible animal abuse and neglect situation.
04/19/13 Deputies were called out to investigate a theft incident.
04/17/13 The Winamac Fire Department was called to a structure fire.
04/17/13 Deputies were called out to investigate a shooting complaint.
04/17/13 The Winamac Fire Department was called out to a report of smoke coming out of a nearby building. Officials believed it was just chimney smoke.
04/16/13 A complaintant told police that a man in a white van stopped in front of the courthouse, got out and started taking pictures. When the caller started walking toward the man to talk to him, the man ran back to the van and drove away.
04/16/13 A Medaryville resident complained that the neighbors are shooting guns before daylight. Police spoke to the neighbors.
04/15/13 Pulaski County deputies were involved in an incident where the driver of a car allegedly hit another person twice in the nose at the Family Express in North Judson and fled. The driver then reportedly entered Pulaski County and the county deputies engaged in a pursuit with the driver. The driver then returned into Starke County where county officers continued looking for the suspect.
04/15/13 The Winamac Police Department responded to a call of a suspicious substance that was found in a resident’s a pill bottle.
04/15/13 The Medaryville Fire Department was called to a fire in a recycling bin across from City Hall.
Arrests:
04/21/13 Gavin Miller, 22, of Winamac, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
04/19/13 Mark Barber, 50, of Flinton, MI, arrested on a valid arrest warrant for check fraud.
From the North Judson Police Department:
Incidents:
04/20/13 Police responded to a domestic dispute in the 600 block of Keller Avenue. Police discovered one of the persons involved had broken a door and the other had broken a window. The parties were in the process of moving. Both were separated.
04/19/13 Police responded to a car deer accident near 600 West on State Road #10 around 8:00 p.m. Rita McBride of North Judson was westbound on State Road #10 when several deer entered the roadway. Her vehicle struck one of the deer. Officer Daren Conley estimated damages at over $2,500.
04/18/13 North Judson Police Chief Deputy Joe Budner investigated a property damage accident at the intersection of Lane and Main Streets. Anna Maupin of North Judson stopped her 2012 Impala and said she did not see any other vehicle and continued North on Lane Street. She struck a 1995 Ford that was driving in the intersection being driven by Mary Wilson, also of North Judson. Budner estimated damages at over $2,500 and no injuries or citations were reported.
04/18/13 Throughout the day, North Judson police received several calls of trees and limbs in the roadway, due to the weather, and all were cleared by the Street Department. North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely thanks the citizens for reporting such things. “Any road hazard should be reported so the proper authority can correct the situation,” Vessely stated.
04/18/13 A neighbor dispute report was taken by police in the 400 Block of Keller Avenue. The dispute was over a parking space on the street.
04/17/13 A drive-off was reported to police, however within a few minutes the driver returned to pay. He realized his credit card did not work properly at the pump.
04/16/13 Police assisted the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department near the 7400 block of 750 North in reference to several unwanted subjects at a home with a knife.
04/15/13 An ordinance violation was issued at a foreclosed home in the 700 block of E. Talmer Avenue for a nuisance trash violation. The citation was sent to the property manager.
04/15/13 A report was made to police in reference to road rage near the intersection of Leslie and Luken Streets. The complainant told police the driver in front of him got out of his vehicle and walked back to his and hit him through the window. The incident is under investigation.

04/15/13 – A female told police that she found a burn pile with foils and coffee filters on 800 East south of 25 North in Knox and she suspected drug activity.
04/15/13 – Illegal dumping was reported in the 5100 block of West State Road 10 in North Judson.
04/15/13 – A physical assault was reported on Donalds Drive near 625 East in Knox.
04/15/13 – A man told police that someone threw a rock at his vehicle and pointed a shotgun at him in the 2000 block of North Garba Drive in Grovertown.
04/15/13 – A vehicle stolen from Kevin Zieters in Starke County was located in Pulaski County.
04/15/13 – A man appeared at the sheriff’s department to report a fraud incident in the 100 block of South 800 East.
04/16/13 – An elderly man reported a theft in the 8900 block of North 1050 East in Walkerton.
04/17/13 – A female called to report a scam through the mail in the 6800 block of South 600 West in North Judson.
04/17/13 – John Cole from Community Corrections requested an officer at Zach Tomerlin’s residence in the 2200 block of South 700 East in Knox, stating the man is in possession of a controlled substance.
04/17/13 – A resident of the 7100 block of East 200 North in Knox told police that someone has been driving by their house shooting at their home and family with a BB gun.
04/18/13 – A theft was reported in the 3200 block of West 800 South in North Judson.
04/21/13 – A female reported a harassment in the 100 block of West Howard Drive in North Judson.
04/21/13 – Shawn Mattraw with Community Corrections told police that they apprehended Thomas Skibbe in the 1000 block of West 250 South in North Judson and he believes there are narcotics and meth labs in the home.
04/21/13 – A resident of the 4600 block of South U.S. 35 in Knox told police that his son stole his guns.
Arrests:
04/17/13 – William J. Baker, 59 of Knox, was arrested on charges of Intimidation, Possession of Marijuana, and Resisting Law Enforcement after he was reportedly harassing a cashier in the 10700 block of East U.S. 30 in Grovertown.
04/17/13 – Joseph Wayne Dawson, 43 of North Judson, was arrested on charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated near the intersection of U.S. 35 and State Road 8.
04/19/13 – Wendy Christine Miller, 22 of Knox, was arrested on charges of Public Intoxication.
04/19/13 – Vicki Jean Geruska, 52 of Knox, was arrested on an active arrest warrant.

04/22/13 Police were called to investigate an unattended death.
04/22/13 Kyle Bailey told police that his car was hit by another vehicle while parked at the pawn shop.
04/22/13 Dennis Qualls reported being involved in an accident in the McDonald’s parking lot. He struck a block wall causing damage.
04/18/13 Michael Deziadke told police that the padlocks on the exterior door to his house were cut, along with electrical lines to the garage, furnace and residence. The water pump outside was missing and entry was made into his basement. He also reported that a radiator was stolen from his mother’s vehicle.

04/17/13 Andrew Morgan, 40, 208 W. Lafayette St., Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of battery.
