05/17/13 A red 26″ men’s Roadmaster bicycle was discovered in the south ball field at the North Judson Park. It was repainted black. Anyone with information is asked to contact the North Judson Police at (574)772-5914.
05/17/13 North Judson Police assisted parole officers in the arrest of Dennis M. Howard, 22, of North Judson for a parole violation in the 200 block of Maryland Street.
05/17/13 A family domestic dispute was reported in the 6400 block of State Road 39.
05/16/13 A loud noise complaint was checked out in the 500 block of Laurel Street.
05/15/13 Employees at Dollar General reported to police that a male subject took a pair of sunglasses and ran from the store. He was not located.
05/15/13 A domestic complaint was investigated by North Judson police in the 200 Block of Leslie Street.
05/15/13 A barking dog call was received by residents living in the 600 block of Cherry Street. A verbal warning was issued.
05/15/13 Theft of gasoline from a motor vehicle and a lawn mover was reported by residents in the 600 block of Railroad Street.
05/15/13 Police responded to a neighbor dispute in the 700 block of Laurel Street.
05/14/13 A report was made of an ATV was traveling on the street near the intersection of Leslie and Luken. North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely reminds you that ATVs and gator-type 4-wheelers are not allowed to travel on the streets in North Judson. You may obtain a permit to operate gas or electric golf carts.
05/14/13 North Judson police investigated a report of domestic battery in the parking lot in the 600 block of W. Talmer Avenue.
05/14/13 Police received a report of a black male subject panhandling in the Family Express parking lot. The man moved on.
05/13/13 A report of an intoxicated person at the Dollar General store was handled by the North Judson Police. Chief Doug Vessely reportedly observed the man open a merchandise package and put it back on the shelf. After a brief investigation, the shopper, David C. Considine, 27, of San Pierre was arrested on a preliminary charge of Public Intoxication.

Residents are to be reminded of grass ordinance:
North Judson police have issued several warnings this week to home owners who have neglected mowing the lawn. A town ordinance states the grass must not reach 4” tall. If it does, you are in violation of this ordinance. North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely advised that the home owners who violate the ordinance will receive an ordinance violation citation if the grass is not being cut when needed.

05/19/13 A North Judson resident reported vandalism to an irrigation system on county property.
05/19/13 The Star City Fire Department was asked to assist White County in fighting a large woods fire.
05/19/13 A drive-off $50.09 was reported from a gas station in Winamac.
05/19/13 A Winamac resident complained about a vehicle driving through their yard.
05/18/13 One person was taken into custody after Ace Hardware reported a suspect loading up flowers in the back of a vehicle and fled the area.
05/18/13 A Winamac resident told police that a window in their residence and a window in a van were broken when some unknown person(s) threw rocks through the glass. Graffiti was also spray painted on the residence. The Winamac Police Department was called out to investigate.

05/18/13 Officers conducted several traffic stops as part of Operating Pull Over.
05/18/13 An agent for a bank owned property found a door kicked in at one of their properties. The home was vacant.
05/17/13 A Winamac resident reported to police that her wallet was stolen from her unlocked truck parked outside of her workplace.

05/16/13 A Winamac gas station reported a drive off of $61.78.
05/16/13 A Winamac resident told police that some unknown person(s) cut the fence on their property.

05/15/13 The North Judson Fire Department requested the help of the Medaryville Fire Department in battling a grass fire that spread to the woods.

05/18/13 Donna Joseph told police that someone stole her wallet.
05/16/13 Kyle Schieb found that all four tires on his vehicle were flattened. Police found that they were slashed with a knife.
05/15/13 Norfolk Southern staff reported that a red semi loaded with bricks traveling southbound on U.S. 35 crossed the railroad tracks and damaged the crossing arms as they were coming down.
