She also told the officer that a man in a white pickup truck blocked the alley next to her residence on Friday, July 12 after 9 p.m., and a second man arrived and the two began taking pictures of the apartment complex and fireworks store next door. She confronted the men and they told her to go back into her house. That same night her clothes which were hanging on the line to dry were stolen. On Sunday, July 14 she saw two men and a woman exiting the basement laundry room of the apartment complex. None of them were known to the tenants.

She told the responding officer she had only consumed alcohol. The report indicates she kicked a Starke County dispatcher and was extremely disruptive at the jail. When she calmed down and took a breath test, she registered .247%. The jail staff advised she was too intoxicated to be booked, so Croft was taken to the emergency room at IU Health Starke Hospital.
