Incidents:
11/18/13 – A resident of the 4500 block of North 500 East in Hamlet reported a scam regarding Publishers Clearing House.
11/19/13 – A resident of the 11800 block of East 50 North in Knox told police someone had attempted to break into her car.
11/19/13 – A resident of the 1500 block of East 100 South in Knox reported someone was trying to break into her barn.
11/20/13 – A vehicle window was reportedly broken in the 10300 block of East State Road 23 in Walkerton.
11/20/13 – A burglary was reported at a residence in the 5600 block of South State Road 10 in Knox.
11/21/13 – Brad Fowler of Monterey told police someone had stolen his vehicle overnight.
11/22/13 – A resident of the 5100 block of South 600 West told police someone took money from his bank account and used it at Western Union.
11/22/13 – A resident of the 1400 block of South 880 East in Knox reported online fraud.
11/23/13 – A break-in was reported in the 5300 block of Summerholme Drive in Knox.
11/23/13 – Tim Howard of North Judson told police he came home from work and found kids in his log cabin doing drugs.
11/23/13 – A resident of the 5000 block of South Westey Street in Knox told police someone stole items he had ordered from Menards.
11/24/13 – A resident of the 2200 block of East 200 South in Knox reported he had found a bullet hole in his window.
Arrests:
11/19/13 – Daniel Ryan Keith Zimmerman, 23 of North Judson, was arrested on charges of Possession of Cocaine or Narcotic Drug, Possession of Syringe, Possession of Marijuana, Common Nuisance, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Controlled Substance, and Resisting Law Enforcement.
11/19/13 – Shelli Nmi Matter, 46 of North Judson, was arrested on charges of Common Nuisance, Possession of a Syringe, Possession of Cocaine or Narcotic Drug, Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia.
11/21/13 – Serena Maude Clemons, 26 of Medaryville, was arrested on charges of Over-Purchase of Pseudoephedrine after trying to purchase pseudoephedrine, having been convicted of Possession of Precursors in the past.
11/24/13 – Cleatious D. Woodard, 48 of Medaryville, was arrested following a hit-and-run investigation.
Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department:
Incidents:
11/24/13 A Pulaski woman reported a theft of a 100 lb propane tank from her rental property.
11/24/13 A caller advised that he was awoken by the sound of 15-20 gun shots and can see flashlights out in a field. He believes they are poaching. Officers didn’t find anything at that location.
11/21/13 A man advised that someone backed up to his residence and believes that they are there to steal scrap. The subjects left at a high rate of speed and are westbound on 400 N. The police caught up to the subjects one man was taken to jail. The caller advised nothing was missing or disturbed, but found beer bottles.
11/21/13 A woman alerted the police of a very strong smell of natural or propane gas and advised that she knew of a pipeline that goes through the location. While police were checking out the smell, they heard a loud noise coming from the closest NIPSCO sub station. NIPSCO was advised.
11/21/13 A woman told police that she was being harassed by a man in South Carolina. She advised police that she was selling an item online and she recorded a check for $1,900.00 from a man who told her to cash the check and send him the difference. Winamac police advised the woman that this was a scam.
11/21/13 Police were told that men were shooting at deer from a small black car with a tailgate from the road. The deer that the subjects were shooting at was near the house of the caller. He also advised that his mother was chasing the subjects southbound on 700 W. from 913 S. Police urged the mother of the caller to cease her pursuit. The mother came back to the house and parked near the deer. Police advised they were going after the black vehicle before they come and inspect the deer.
11/21/13 An officer was called out to a dispute between a landlord and tenant. The landlord was trying to evict the tenant without eviction papers. The officer calmed everyone down and the male subject left with all of his belongings.
11/20/13 A deer was hit by a passenger car on State Road 14, ½ mile west of the Bethel Bible Church. There were no injuries and the damage to the vehicle was under $1,000
11/20/13 Police officers were alerted that someone in a big black truck was hunting on her property and no one but her step grandson can hunt there. She said she watched them drive out with a deer but then turned back around and further into the woods. She called back at a later time and said that the person in the black truck was her step grandson and to disregard her earlier call.
11/17/13 An extreme amount of phone calls kept coming in to Pulaski 911 dispatch during a time when severe weather hit the area and a tornado was spotted. The computer could not keep up, then the computer went down. The lights went out, the doors locked and the phones went down.
11/17/13 A man told police that he believes that a tornado came through the Denham area. He said the power was out, trees are down everywhere, and things are flying around all over the place. The police responded saying they don’t believe that a tornado touched down in Denham and that the damage was caused by very strong winds.
Arrests:
11/25/13 Brandon Noyer, 39, of Winamac, IN arrested on a preliminary charge of Battery Resulting in Injury.
11/21/13 Kimberly Samons, 34, arrested on active warrants for failure to appear and non-support of a dependent.
