3/31/14 – David R. Maple, 58, of North Judson, hit a deer on State Road 10 East of Range Road.
3/31/14 – A resident in the 1700 block of South 500 E. in Knox asked to speak to an officer about problems with his stepson.
3/31/14 – A man asked to speak with an officer regarding an incident that took place in the 11000 block of East Circle Ave. in Walkerton.
3/31/14 – Dianna L. Boo, 48, of San Pierre, was cited for disregarding a stop sign at CR 400 S. and CR 650 W. She allegedly went through the intersection at approximately 50 miles-per-hour and made no attempt to slow down or look for cross traffic.
3/31/14 – A deputy responded to a report of harassment in the 4200 block of South 250 E. in Knox. The victim’s ex-boyfriend has reportedly threatened bodily harm to her current boyfriend.
3/31/14 – A resident in the 11200 block of Pottawatomie Trail in Walkerton reported damage to his mailbox and pickup truck mirrors.
3/31/14 – A resident in the 9700 block of East 50 S. in Knox said someone broke into his residence and stole two firearms.
3/31/14 – Officers responded to a report of an unoccupied vehicle in a ditch at CR 300 N. and 1025 E. in Hamlet and found Cathryn S. Ellison, 24, of Plymouth, trapped underneath. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
3/31/14 – Linda Lee Klumb, 52, of Culver, hit a deer on State Road 8 and 1200 E. in Culver.
3/31/14 – Officers responded to a home in the 2200 block of East 150 S. in Knox, after a woman called to say four men pushed their way into her residence, put their hands on her and items in the residence and threatened to return with guns. They reportedly left traveling eastbound on 150 S. in a white Ford Ranger.
3/31/14 – Officers responded to a call from two men who live next to the C&C Salvage/Starke County Recycling at U.S. 35 and Toto Road and hear a lot of activity going on. An officer checked and found metal siding was moving in the wind causing noise.
3/31/14 – A Grovertown man called and said a GMC pickup truck is stuck in his field on the south side of CR 775 N. between CR 700 and 825 East.
3/31/14 – Dispatchers received a report of a white Ford Crown Victoria with Illinois plates traveling through Hamlet and acting suspicious. The caller said the car followed him for awhile and is still in the area.
04/01/14 – Dispatchers received a report of a vehicle parked on 800 E. near 300 N. that has been there for five or 10 minutes with its lights on.
04/01/14 – Officers were called to a residence in the 1100 block of East State Road 10 in Knox regarding a dispute with a neighbor over a fence line.
04/01/14 – A caller advised there is a helicopter hovering above power lines at County Road 400 S. and U.S. 421 in North Judson. Dispatchers advised that is NIPSCO checking their lines.
04/01/14 – A female caller advised her son is a convicted felon possibly in possession of a firearm, and he and his wife both have suspended driver’s licenses. She believes they may be at a home in Ora and provided a description of the car they were last seen driving.
04/01/14 – A man from South Bend called the sheriff’s department and asked that someone check on the German Shepherd tied behind James Campbell’s house. He’s worried that the dog is not being fed regularly. The man told dispatchers he came down from South Bend Friday and fed the dog.
04/01/14 – The Washington Township Fire Department responded to a grass fire on 700 E. south of 300 N. on the south side of the road.
04/01/14 – A caller advised the gates are open at C&C Salvage/Starke County Recycling and thought their may have been a car there. The responding officer said the gates have been open all day.
04/01/14 – A caller in the 2000 block of South Country Lane West advised the neighbor’s dog is starving to death.
04/01/14 – A resident in the 6000 block of South Range Road says two black dogs are running in the area, and one just ran at her. The sheriff’s office has received several calls about these dogs, and the animal shelter has been trying to catch them for some time.
04/01/14 – Police responded to a report of a possible prowler and attempted break-in in the 5100 block of S. 100 E. in Knox.
04/02/14 – Officers responded to a report of vandalism on 25 N. between 700 and 800 E. in Knox and found three telephone wire covers in the roadway. The officer was unable to determine where they came from.
04/02/14 – Brandi R. Pranger, 35, of Plymouth, hit a deer in the 800 block of South 1200 E. in Knox. 04/02/14 – An Illinois resident who owns property at Bass Lake in the 6000 block of State Road 10 asked to speak to an officer about a possible break-in over the weekend at her summer home. She advised she would be down that evening to check on her property.
04/02/14 – A resident in the 3900 block of East 50 N. in Knox filed an identity theft report.
04/02/14 – A structure fire was reported in the 700 block of West Toto Road.
04/02/14 – A resident in the 1100 block of East SR 10 in Knox asked to speak to an officer regarding a prowler on her property.
04/02/14 – An officer responded to a home in the 300 block of Lambert St. in Knox after officers from Starke County Community Corrections reportedly found various Schedule III controlled substances during a compliance check, took a report and collected evidence.
04/03/14 – A resident in the 6000 block of SR 10 in Knox advised his home at Bass Lake was broken into but nothing was taken.
04/03/14 – A resident in the 1600 block of N. U.S. 35 in Knox said his landlord moved his stuff, and he believes it’s theft.
04/03/14 – A resident in the 8000 block of North Tecumseh in Koontz Lake asked to speak to an officer about a blue Ford F250 in the area that he believes is related to the recent vandalism reports.
04/03/14 – Judith A. Paradis, 59, of Knox, hit a deer on U.S. 35 at 400 S. 04/03/14 – Officers responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch on CR 50 west of 200 E. Nicholas D. Zoliner, 33, of Knox, was driving.
04/04/14 – Officers responded to a report of a suspicious white, two-door vehicle in the 6100 block of East 250 N. in Knox.
04/04/14 – A resident in the 7400 block of West 250 S. in North Judson said his landlord is trying to break into his residence. First the landlord sent an electrician to do work then called the renters and said he also needs to get into the house. The renter asked to speak with an officer because he is afraid of his landlord.
04/04/14 – A computer was reported stolen from Oregon-Davis High School.
04/04/14 – Officers responded to a report of a family dispute in the 8000 block of North Tecumseh Road in Koontz Lake.
04/04/14 – Officers responded to a Knoll Brothers for a report of a semi that struck a pump and filed a report.
04/04/14 – A North Judson man asked to speak to an officer about alleged harassment from a man from whom he bought knives in November. He says the man now claims he stole the knives.
04/05/14 – A resident reported two people on 4-wheelers riding around recklessly in the road and popping wheelies in the 300 block of North 700 E. in Knox. The caller says this has been an ongoing issue. The officer who responded was unable to locate the riders.
04/05/14 – Officers responded to a property damage accident on State Road 10 at CR 350 E.
04/05/14 – Officers were advised a white van has been left at the Country Roads Bar and Grill in Walkerton since Thursday. 04/05/14 – A resident in the 4900 block of North SR 23 in Grovertown reported the theft of his utility trailer from his yard the previous night.
04/05/14 – Dispatchers received a call reporting 4-wheelers being ridden at CR 25 N. and 700 E. The caller said they are going through the intersection and are loud. 04/05/14 – A resident in the 5800 block of East Manor Drive in Knox said someone broke into her camper over the winter and stole a television set.
04/05/14 – A resident in the 100 block of West 450 S. in North Judson came to the Starke County Sheriff’s Office to file a theft report.
04/05/14 – A resident in the 9800 block of East 500 N. in Grovertown reported a green minivan parked on 500 N. near her residence. She said it was occupied by a Hispanic man and a white woman who were messing around outside the vehicle, got into it and are now parked in the roadway.
04/06/14 – Brandon W. Reiss, 28, of Knox, hit a deer on CR 1025 E. and CR 50 N. in Grovertown.
04/06/14 – A resident in the 6900 block of East Toto Road in Knox called to report her 14-year-old son has been missing for more than 20 hours.
04/06/14 – A resident in the 4900 block of South 260 W. in North Judson reported her neighbor is threatening to shoot her dogs.
04/06/14 – Dispatchers received a report of a medium-sized black and white dog running loose in the Topinabee Road area in Koontz Lake.
04/06/14 – A resident in the 10600 block of Iroquois Road in Walkerton called and reported a man on an orange motorcycle driving recklessly around her residence. She advised she has small children.
04/06/14 – Dispatchers were notified to a report of a man trying to get into a house in the 10800 block of East Seneca Lane in Walkerton. The caller told the dispatcher the man got into her red 2005 Pontiac, left and may be heading to Time Out Bar.
04/06/14 – A resident in the area of 400 N. and 300 E. called to report a neighbor who frequently drives recklessly in that area. Officers went to his home and warned him about his driving.
04/06/14 – A resident in the 2300 block of East 250 S. in Knox called to report a white and tan dog, possibly a pit bull mix, is on his property and won’t leave. The caller said the dog is not aggressive.
04/06/14 – Dispatchers were notified of two full-size black and white cows out at 500 S. and 50 E. in Knox.
04/06/14 – The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the Starke County Sheriff’s Office to check a vehicle in a ditch at 750 W. and 750 N. in Pulaski County.
04/06/14 – A resident in the 11100 block of East 150 S. in Culver reported his checkbook missing from his residence and said about $300 is missing from his checking account.
04/06/14 – Dispatchers received a call of two people walking around property in the 3800 block of East Toto Road in the dark. The caller said they were last seen near a hole in the fence line to the scrap yard that had been previously boarded up.

03/31/14 – A suspicious person report was taken in the 600 block of Lane Street. The home owner thought someone may have been inside their home. North Judson Police did not locate anyone in the home.
03/31/14 – A young women from the Winamac area was located in Matteson, IL. She had stated she was kidnapped from the North Judson area and after a short investigation between the North Judson Police, the Matteson Police, and the School, it was determined she had skipped school and obtained a ride. Her father went to IL to pick her up.
03/31/14 – A report was taken by the North Judson Police in reference to a Protective Order violation in the 500 Block of Mulberry Street.
04/01/14 – A drive off was reported from Carpenter’s Oil Company and when police arrived the subject returned and paid for the gasoline. He had forgot to pay.
04/01/14 – A theft of lawn furniture was reported to the North Judson Police in the 600 Block of Lane SDtreet,
04/02/14 – Carpenter’s Oil reported a drive off of over $50.00 in gasoline. Two North Judson units arrived within a minute, however the direction of travel was confused. The vehicle was not located. A maroon pickup truck with an middle aged gentleman driving.
04/02/14 North Judson Police learned of some Drug activity in the 300 Block of Lane Street.
04/03/14 – North Judson Police Officer Frank Thomas disbursed a small group from the North Judson Park, when he located them south of the hidden Ball Field. All cooperated and left the area. Other than being in the park after dark, no criminal elements seemed to be afoot.
04/03/14 – A domestic complaint was reported to the North Judson Police in the 500 Block of Vine Street.
04/05/14 – North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely investigated a battery report between two juveniles in the Park. Several other juveniles watched the girls fight and at first it was thought the group teamed up against the one girl. No major injuries were reported and a complete report was made.

3/30/14- Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies and Winamac E.M.S responded to a domestic dispute between a father and son.
3/31/14- Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies took a theft report from a resident who came home from vacation and found tin and metal taken from trailers.
3/31/14- Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies took a report of a residential break-in. The victim brought her father home from the hospital and said she discovered some of his medication was missing.
3/31/14- The Moterey-Tippecanoe Township and Bass Lake-California Township Fire Departments responded to a field fire.
3/31/14- A caller asked to speak to an officer about escalating harassment with their neighbor.
4/1/14- Winamac Police responded to a woman who reported she was being harassed by friend over DJ equipment.
4/3/14- The Winamac Fire Dept., Winamac E.M.S, Monterey-Tippecanoe Fire Dept., Fulton County E.M.C and Pulaski County REACT all responded to a multiple vehicle fire at a Pulaski residence.
4/4/14- Winamac Police respond to the town park where a a complainant stated that they had just been jumped.
4/4/14- Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies took a burglary report from a man who said someone broke a window and stole his guns.
4/5/14- Winamac Police responded to a report of missing property.
4/5/14- Winamac Police and Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a fight between three men in front of a bar. A woman was trying to separate them.
4/6/14- A complainant requested a DNR officer’s aid when an unknown subject across the river from the complainant’s residence was shooting a firearm.
4/6/14- Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies responded when a female subject called and stated her husband beat her again. He left the residence before the officers arrived.
4/6/14- The Winamac Fire Dept. responded to a brush fire that got out of hand and was heading toward a house.
4/6/14- The Medaryville Police Department responded when a to a report of the theft of between 500 and 600 pounds of copper wire.
