Incidents:
03/16/15 – The North Judson Police Department responded to the 600 block of Oakwood Avenue in reference to the possible theft of personal documents.

03/16/15 – A resident filed a report in reference to a lost or stolen license plate.

03/16/15 – North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely conducted a traffic stop on a speeding motorcycle. The stop was initiated on Luken Street but ended at County Roads 450 West and 400 South. Three citations were issued.

03/17/15 – A part-time volunteer at the Liberty School reported damage to her sometime on Tuesday, March 10. The vehicle appeared to have scratches made by some keys.

03/18/15 – North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely, with the help of a local customer, foiled a shoplifting theft from the Good to Go Convenience Store. Three juvenile males were detained, and close to $40.00 in merchandise was recovered and returned to the store. A complete report will be furnished to the Starke County Prosecutor and the Starke County Probation Department. The parents were notified of the incident.

03/19/15 –Police responded to the 300 block of Hancock Avenue in reference to a call of shots fired. After an investigation, it was learned a neighbor had shot a cat with a pellet gun. A complete report was provided to the Starke County Prosecutor for review of any possible charges.

03/19/15 – A report of two vehicles speeding and driving recklessly on 400 South was reported to police. The officer was unable to locate the vehicles.

03/20/15 – Police conducted a welfare check in the 200 block of Weninger Street.

03/20/15 In the 6300 South block of 375 West, officers, were called to a custody dispute. All parties were advised no children were being removed without a court order.

03/20/15 – Police were called to the 200 Block Weninger in reference to a dispute with a neighbor and landlord. The problem was resolved.

03/20/15 – North Judson Police Officer Frank Thomas conducted a traffic stop in the alley of the 300 Block of Schricker Avenue. After an investigation, the driver, Shannon Watts, 33, of North Judson was arrested for driving while suspended prior. Passenger Sarah R, Drabik, 23, of Knox was arrested for a Starke Circuit Court warrant. Charges are being requested for another passenger for Assisting a Criminal. They are pending at the Prosecutor’s Office. The Starke County Sheriff’s Department assisted on this call.

03/20/15 – Police conducted a welfare check in the 200 Block of Maryland Street. All was fine.

03/20/15 – Police investigated a complaint of a barking dog in the 700 block of Cherry.

03/21/15 – A North Judson officer took a report of a battery that occurred in the 600 Block of Talmer Avenue. All information will be forwarded to the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office.

03/21/15 – A criminal damage and vandalism report was filed in reference to a metal picnic bench being damaged at the Chester, INC. business on Mint Road. Unknown subject[s] had driven through the yard causing the damage.

Arrests:

03/20/15 – Shannon L. Watts, 33, of 5246 S. Detroiter Lane, North Judson, IN arrested for driving while suspended-prior.

03/20/15 – Sarah R. Drabik, 23, 402 Star Court, Knox, IN arrested on a Starke Circuit Felony Warrant.
