Incidents:
05/11/11 A report was made by the North Judson Police Department in regards to the theft of a wallet from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the alley of the 200 block of W . Sycamore. No cash was missing; however, credit cards and other items were taken.
05/09/11 The Incorporated Town of North Judson reported to police about the theft of water and water services in the 300 block of 625 South. A complete report was furnished to the Starke County Prosecutor requesting a warrant.

Incidents:
05/15/11 A resident in the Star City area reported that he has trespassers on his property. Two subjects were given citations for hunting on private property without permission.
05/15/11 A resident, who has recently been in the Pulaski County Jail, told police that some unknown person(s) attempted to break into her car.
05/14/11 A resident in the Pulaski area told police that he thinks someone put antifreeze in his dog’s food.
05/14/11 A Dollar General store employee called police to report a theft of items from the store.
05/13/11 A Winamac resident reported to police that a green van has been parked in a lot for 2-3 weeks. Upon further investigation, it was found that the vehicle was reported stolen out of Peru, Indiana.
05/13/11 A Winamac resident told police she saw someone tear up a bunch of mail and throw it into the river.

Incidents:
05/16/11 A female resident reported that she was involved in a domestic battery situation. She told police she was cut on her finger by a knife and she had been slapped in the face by her boyfriend. No arrests have been made at this time.
05/10/11 Rebecca Scott reported the theft of her purse from her vehicle.
Arrests:
05/14/11 Cory Minix, 32, 4295 E. 200 S., Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Resisting Law Enforcement.
Police were called to 4355 East 200 South for a complaint of a man to appeared to be high on a narcotic drug. When police arrived, the complainant gave them the description of the man and officers went to search for the man. The officers walked into the backyard and saw a man holding a chain saw standing next to a garage. The officers announced their presence and the man turned and walked away. The officers followed the man and as the officers were approaching the man, they announced their presence and Cory Minix asked the officers to repeat themselves as he walked towards them. According to police, Minix was walking quickly toward the officers with a chain saw in his hand and began yelling and cursing at the officers. Minix was ordered to drop the chain saw and he did not. The officer drew his weapon because the officer thought Minix was going to strike him with the chain saw. Minix threw the chain saw on the ground toward the officer and was taken into custody. Minix was not the suspect the officers were originally were looking for; however, the suspect in question was later located by a Starke County Sheriff’s deputy.

05/14/11 An employee at the Grovertown Truck Stop reported that a customer who said he forgot his wallet when trying to pay for gas has left and has not returned to pay for gas.
05/13/11 A resident in the 3000 block of E. 200 S. in Knox told police that some unknown person(s) blew up her mailbox.
05/13/11 Keith Vincent told police that his daughter was bitten in the face by the neighbor’s dog. The dog bite was not severe and the neighbor told the Vincent family that the dog was current on vaccinations.
05/11/11 A resident in the 10800 block of E. Kanney Ave., in Walkerton reported that his window was shot with a BB gun the night before and and unknown juvenile just hit the window and shattered it.

Accidents:
05/15/11 At 3:34 p.m., Don Ferguson from the Starke County Sheriff’s Department was driving a county squad car southbound on 100 West in the North Judson area when a vehicle driven by Linda Howell from North Judson entered the roadway and turned northbound from a driveway on the east side of the roadway and the front driver’s corner of Howell’s vehicle entered Ferguson’s lane of travel. Howell stated that she didn’t see Ferguson coming. Visibility was diminished due to vegetation. There were no injuries.
