Incidents:
07/23/11 A Francesville resident told police that she arrived at the store this morning and the pop machine was open and pop was everywhere. After an investigation, a total of four cans of pop were found to be missing.
07/23/11 A 4-wheeler was reported stolen from a residence in Pulaski.
07/23/11 A resident in Cass Township reported the theft of a lawn mower, weed eater, air compressor and other items.
07/22/11 Officers were called to Pulaski Memorial Hospital for an accidental BB gun shooting involving two juveniles.
07/22/11 A Winamac business notified police that a resident took a lawn mower two weeks ago and hasn’t paid for it. His wife came in and paid for some other items but not the lawn mower. The business owners have tried to get the person to return the mower or pay for it. After a while, the subject did return the property.
07/22/11 A caller reported a car in the ditch outside of Winamac. No one was in or around the vehicle. Owners will move the vehicle later.
07/22/11 Police received a phone call of a complaint that some “kid” in a car on a country road is throwing things out of his car at other cars. Balls, bottles and food are some of the items that are being flung from the vehicle.
07/22/11 A resident reported the theft of a debit card.
07/22/11 A Medaryville resident reported the theft of a 20” Schwin Falcon BMX bike.
07/22/11 A Medaryville resident called police to report that he found marijuana plants in his back yard while he was cleaning it up. Officers collected five, eight foot plants that appeared to be growing naturally.
07/21/11 A Medaryville resident reported the theft of tools.
07/20/11 A caller reported that a vehicle was on fire and the Winamac Fire Department was called to the scene. No one was around the vehicle at the time the report came into the Sheriff’s Department.
07/20/11 A Medaryville resident called police to report that locks on two storage units have been cut. One of the renters reported that nothing has been stolen from his unit.
07/20/11 A Winamac resident reported the theft of her wallet out of her vehicle.

Accidents:
07/23/11 Todd Brown, 37, of Knox, was injured after he left the roadway on his motorcycle for some unknown reason on 150 S. near 100 E. Road. The accident report states that he was unable to give a statement due to his injuries. He struck a mailbox and was ejected from his motorcycle.
07/23/11 Derek Sallee, 23, of Knox was injured after he reportedly missed the curve on 850 S. near 850 E. in Starke County, left the roadway and into the ditch. A 19-year-old passenger, Bruce Wireman, of Winamac, was also injured in the accident.
