Incidents:
11/20/11 A woods fire was reported to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department that was in the Denham area, but the call was transferred to Starke County to tone the North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department.
11/20/11 Police were called to a residence in the Denham area for a complaint of two people fighting.
11/20/11 A Winamac resident told police that the lock on the storage unit was broken and items in the unit were stolen. An air compressor and jack stands were a couple of the items missing from the unit.
11/20/11 A resident in the Pulaski area reported to police that she needed a police report for trespassing and stolen property.
11/20/11 Two men in the Franklin Township area were fighting over a deer kill permit. One man found the deer on the side of the road and the other man insisted that it was the deer he just shot. The matter was given to the DNR.
11/20/11 A Jefferson Township resident called police to report that some unknown subject(s) shot a gun and the round hit his house.
11/20/11 A Medaryville resident told police that he was in the process of moving out of his home and had some things laying outside that he was going to pick up in a second load. He left and came back and now all of the things are gone.
11/20/11 A car vs. deer accident was reported in Beardstown. No injuries were reported.
11/20/11 A car vs. deer accident was reported east of Medaryville at the curve past the Co-Op.
11/20/11 A car vs. deer accident was called into the police by a driver on State Road 14 traveling towards Remington. She said she can’t steer the vehicle right.
11/19/11 A car accident involving a deer was reported in the Star City area.
11/19/11 A caller reported a truck in the ditch in the Radioville area. The driver was outside the vehicle and no injuries were reported.
11/19/11 Caller notified police of a car vs. deer accident in the Medaryville area.
11/19/11 A Monterey resident called police to report that hunters were trespassing on his property.
11/19/11 An accident was reported in the McDonald’s parking lot. A vehicle was parked waiting to turn out of McDonald’s and another vehicle hit it. No injuries were reported.
11/19/11 A Winamac resident reported the theft of a Nintendo DXL.
11/19/11 A Beardstown resident told police that her husband was burning brush and got that fire put out, but a dead tree is on fire on the property. The Winamac Fire Department was called to the scene.
11/19/11 A Pulaski resident reported a break-in at a cottage. Some items were stolen. Some unknown subject(s) had broken into the residence just a few months ago.
11/19/11 A Buick Regal was reported stolen from a resident in Medaryville.
11/18/11 A car vs. deer accident was reported on 50 E. in the Winamac area.
11/18/11 A caller told police that he hit a deer in the Winamac area.
11/17/11 A break-in was reported at a warehouse in the Franklin Township area.
11/17/11 A Winamac resident told police that some unknown person(s) spray painted “I am a thief” in black paint down the side of her son’s new truck.
11/16/11 A car vs. deer accident was reported in the Winamac area. The caller advised that the deer hit the whole side of his truck.
11/17/11 A Winamac resident reported trespassing on his property. Hunting violation tickets were given to hunters who were trespassing on the property.
11/15/11 A car vs. deer accident was called in to police that occurred on State Road 14 about 10 miles west of U.S. 35.
11/15/11 A woman called police saying that she was on the road from Kewanna to Winamac and slid off the roadway and into a fence. No injuries were reported.
11/15/11 A vehicle was rear-ended in the McDonald’s parking lot.
11/15/11 A Winamac resident reported that she was just sideswiped by another vehicle.
11/15/11 A car vs. deer accident was reported in the Star City area.
11/14/11 A Francesville resident reported the theft of a livestock trailer and steel from his woods.
11/14/11 A caller hit a deer on State Road 14 and 600 West. An ambulance was requested as the driver was 37 weeks pregnant.
11/14/11 A caller reported a car vs. deer accident in Winamac. The driver is waiting for police in a business parking lot. A wrecker was called to the scene.
11/14/11 A Medaryville man called police to report trespassers on his property.
11/14/11 An accident was reported in the Star City area. An elderly couple had slid off the road in their car due to slippery roads. Hail was all over the road causing slippery conditions.
11/14/11 The Star City Fire Department was called to a garage fire.

11/20/11 Paul Rausch, 50, 2988 E. 13th St., Winamac, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Public Intoxication and Resisting Law Enforcement.
11/18/11 Alberto Quinto Fiscal, 34, 1078 Shadowview Way, Indianapolis, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operator Never Licensed. Discharged 11/18/11
11/18/11 Amy Zorich, 26, 7580 S. 250 W., North Judson, IN, arrested on active arrest warrants. Discharged 11/21/11
11/17/11 Patricia R. Ziegler, 19, 2813 Longlois Dr., Lafayette, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Endangerment and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.
From the North Judson Police Department:
Incidents:
11/19/11 A Leesberg, Indiana, man struck a deer on State Road #10 just east of North Judson around 10:40 a.m. causing an estimated $2,500 in damages to his 2009 Nissan and killing the deer. North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely investigated the accident and advised Charles Clemans was driving and not injured.
11/19/11 The North Judson Police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the parking lot of the U-locks on Oakwood Street. Michael Combs, of Knox, was backing out of the parking lot in his 2005 GMC Pickup and backed into a parked car, owner by Perry Lucas, North Judson. North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely investigated the incident and estimated the damages at over $1,000.
11/18/11 A custody dispute and a report of a battery, without injuries, was investigated by the North Judson Police. The incident occurred in the 300 Block of Schricker Avenue. A complete report was forwarded to the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
11/17/11 North Judson Police responded to the North Judson-San Pierre High School for a report of an iPod being stolen from a locker during gym class. This remains under investigation.
11/14/11 Officials at the North Judson-San Pierre High School reported to police that a Kindle Reader was taken from the school. After a joint investigation, a 15-year-old juvenile boy was charged with theft of the reader and the Kindle was returned to the school. North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely submitted a complete report to the Starke County Probation Department for formal charges.

11/19/11 A physical altercation between father and son was reported to police.
11/17/11 Police were called to the Knox High School in regards to an unruly student.
11/17/11 A juvenile and her mother reported to police that obscene images were drawn on the side of the juvenile’s father’s vehicle. The vehicle had been parked at the Knox High School.
11/17/11 A harassment case was filed with the police department.

11/20/11 Sherry McDaniel, of North Judson, told police that when she got home, her front door was open and her dog was missing.
11/20/11 A resident in the 4300 block of E. 150 N. in Knox reported that someone was inside her residence and was hiding in a closet.
11/19/11 A resident in the 3900 block of E. Toto Rd. in Knox asked to speak to a police officer as she believes items were stolen from her apartment.
11/19/11 A caller reported hitting a deer at the intersection of State Road 10 and Highway 421 in San Pierre.
11/19/11 An employee at the Koontz Lake Market told police that a customer left a wallet in the store.
11/19/11 It was reported that two bucks that were killed were left alongside the road two blocks west of 6720 E 650 S.

11/19/11 A resident in the 100 block of W. 625 S. in North Judson reported that someone broke a window in a vehicle.
11/19/11 A resident in the 10700 block of E. Hackberry in Walkerton told police that his gun was stolen.
11/17/11 Bonita Godsey, North Judson, reported that she hit a deer on State Road 10.
11/17/11 A resident in the 7000 block of N. Pine Tree Ln. in Walkerton called police to report that he just returned home and the front door was wide open. He’s afraid that someone was still in the residence.
11/17/11 A resident in the 5100 block of E. Toto Road in Knox told police that the vehicle in her garage started on its own and can not shut it off with the key. She had no idea how the vehicle started.
11/16/11 A resident in the 8800 block of E. 75 N. in Knox reported that his wife’s vehicle caught on fire inside their attached garage and the fire is out, but they are requested an officer for a report.
11/16/11 Monica Miller told police that she hit a deer and then she hit a tree. She said she was not injured.
11/16/11 Kori Glass of North Judson hit a deer with her vehicle on 600 West in North Judson.
11/16/11 Danny Patrick of Knox told police that he hit a deer with his vehicle on 900 South just east of 700 West.
11/16/11 An employee at Miller Auto Sales told police that there was a theft of a dealer plate.
11/16/11 Mark Combs of Knox reported the theft of a cell phone.
11/15/11 A car vs. deer accident was reported on State Road 8, east of Yellow River Farms in the Knox area.
11/15/11 A car vs. deer accident was reported on State Road 10 and 250 E.
11/15/11 Christopher Wyatt of Knox reported hitting a deer on U.S. 35 just north of State Road 10.
