Incidents
11/28/11 – The North Judson Police responded to a rape call in the 200 block of Maryland Street at the Apartment complex. Shortly after 11:00 AM a report of a Rape was received. North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely initiated an investigation into the incident and within an hour the suspect, Chris Stonebraker, was detained by the Pulaksi County Sheriff at the Pulaski County Jail for the alleged rape of his ex-wife. Stonebraker, 32, of Winamac, was later transferred to the Starke County Jail, when he was formally charged by the Indiana State Police with Rape and Domestic Battery. After an initial hearing before Judge Kim Hall on Wednesday, his bond was set at $2500 cash and $25,000 surety. Stonebraker has since bonded out of the Starke County Jail.
12/01/11 – Officer Frank Thomas of the North Judson Police Department investigated a hit and run accident that was reported just after 7:00 PM on Talmer Avenue and High Street by Andrea Amidei of North Judson. After an investigation was started and with the assistance of the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, and the Knox City Police, the driver made contact with the Police and turned himself in. The driver, Jeremy R. Dilts, of Winamac, was arrested and charged with Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident and with Driving While Suspended Prior. Officer Thomas estimated the damages at near $2500 and no injuries were reported.

11/29/11 Tammy Neace of Knox reported three pitbulls were loose near her home and attacked her horse.
11/29/11 Ron Vanna of Knox told police that his 15-year-old son was assaulted by a man on Toto Road in front of Richard’s of Toto.
11/30/11 Bob Troike told police that someone had stolen a pile of scrap aluminum from the yard of a farm he owns.
11/30/11 A resident of the 3600 block of East Debby Drive in Knox told police that her home had been broken into and she was unsure if anything was missing.
11/30/11 The theft of a shotgun was reported in the 7700 block of North 925 East in Knox.
12/1/11 Naomi Bowman told police that one of her tenants recently moved out and took some of her belongings; she also reported the back door had been busted open.
12/1/11 Alma Frazier of North Judson told police that someone had busted in her back door and taken her medication while she was out of the home.
12/2/11 A resident of the 7100 block of East 25 North in Knox reported a chainsaw had been stolen.
12/3/11 A resident of the 11900 block of East Division in Plymouth reported someone had damaged her mailbox and her yard.
