Incidents:
07/28/12 A yard sale that didn’t secure the proper permit was shut down in the 6100 Block of John Street by the North Judson Police Department.

07/28/12 A resident in the 100 Block of Lincoln Avenue reported to the North Judson Police that he received a threatening email from the U.S. Government and the F.B.I. in regards to a $500,000.00 security payable to the homeowner. The letter request they send a $98.00 money gram to specific address in Nigeria or face arrest and prosecution. The letter is a fraud and a scam. Never send money to anyone unless you know the company and are conducting business with them. Always be careful. Never give out any banking, personal or other information to anyone.

07/28/12 A report was made with the North Judson Police over harassing telephone calls being made to individuals in the 600 Block of Lane Street.

07/26/12 An open door at the North Judson Little League Concession Stand was reported open. The building was searched and checked and no damage was made. No items were reported missing.

07/25/12 North Judson Police took a report of harassing telephone calls by a resident in the 200 Block of George Street. The complainant had just received a new cell phone and number. The next day the number was changed.

07/24/12 Officers from the Starke County Sheriff’s Department and North Judson Police served an arrest warrant in the 300 Block of Franklin Street on James E. Watts, 34, of North Judson. He was transported to the Starke County Jail. Watts’ warrant was for Failure to Appear.

07/24/12 The North Judson Police found a male subject who had an active warrant for Failure to Appear through the Starke County Circuit Court. Officer Darren Conley arrested Bradley A. White, 24, of North Judson. The warrant was for charges of Domestic Battery, Aggravated Battery, and Theft.

07/23/12 Damage was reported to an air conditioning unit in the 700 Block of East Talmer Avenue. It was not undetermined if it was vandalism or accidental.

Arrests:
07/24/12 James Edgar Watts, 34, 304 Franklin Street, North Judson, IN arrested on an active Failure to Appear warrant for Intimidation. He was later charged for Possession of a Controlled Substance at the Starke County Jail.

07/24/12 Bradley A. White, 24, 304 Franklin Street, North Judson, IN, arrested for an active warrant for Failure to Appear.

07/29/12 A Monterey resident reported the theft of a generator.

07/29/12 A Winaman man called police report the theft of guns and suspects two people were in on it.

07/29/12 The Winamac Police Department received a call from a man who said he saw some of his things on another person’s property and was wondering what needs to be done to get it back.

07/27/12 The Star City Fire Department was called to a fire, but when firefighters arrived on scene, they found it was a controlled burn. The person handling the fire has the equipment necessary to put out the fire.

07/27/12 A Medaryville man called to report that a home has been vandalized. He was to meet with the realtor at that location and found that some unknown person(s) broke into the home through the bedroom window.

07/27/12 A Winamac man called police and reported that some unknown person(s) shattered the window in his car.

07/27/12 A Winamac woman reported the theft of her camera.

07/26/12 A woman stopped at a home in Francesville looking for help. She hit the gas pumps with her vehicle and injured herself. Damage was sustained to the pumps.

07/26/12 A man was injured after hitting a pole in a car accident. REMC was contacted to fix the pole.

07/26/12 A Pizza King employee reported damage done to the building.

07/25/12 Two car vs. deer reports were taken.

07/25/12 A Winamac man reported vandalism to the rental property he owns.

07/25/12 A Winamac man reported that his house was destroyed and his car is missing.

07/24/12 A Winamac resident needs an officer as some unknown person(s) threw a rock through a window.

07/24/12 Power lines were down after a storm came through the area.

07/24/12 A Francesville woman reported the theft of cash and gold from the safe in her basement.

07/23/12 A call came into the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department where a man barricaded himself in a home, strung out on drugs and in possession of a gun. Officers could not located the man in the residence and was cleared from the scene. One person was bit by a K9 and was to looked at by the ambulance staff.

07/23/12 A Medaryville woman reported the theft of her purse.

07/25/12 Harlan Stacy, 34, no address given, LaPorte, IN, arrested on an active LaPorte County warrant. Discharged 07/25/12

07/25/12 Paul Minix, 49, no address given, Winamac, IN, arrested on an active ATF warrant. Discharged 07/26/12

07/24/12 Courtney R. Harper, 28, 1145 W. 60 S., Winamac, IN, arrested on an out of county warrant. Discharged 07/26/12

07/24/12 Gregory Cohen, 45, 1328 S. 24th St., Lafayette, IN, arrested on an active arrest warrant. Discharged 07/28/12

07/24/12 Angela Miller, 32, 321 W. LaPorte St., Plymouth, IN, arrested on an active arrest warrant and a preliminary charge of Possession of Paraphernalia. Discharged 07/24/12

07/23/12 Jason E. Chapman, 39, 8922 S. U.S. 35, Monterey, IN, arrested on a probation violation warrant.

07/23/12 David Olson, 47, 217 E. State Road 16, Lucerne, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Theft and an active arrest warrant. Discharged 07/23/12

Incidents:
07/30/12 George Byer, Superintendent of Wythogan Park, reported vandalism at the park. Three picnic tables were vandalized and two were completely destroyed. Pieces of one table were found on the roof of Shelter 6.

07/25/12 Donnie Bickel reported the theft of money from his wallet.

07/24/12 Beverly Mohr told police that some unknown person(s) entered her apartment and stole money kept in prescription bottles and some shampoo and soap were missing.

07/29/12 Jeff Jimerson reported the theft of a car stereo and inverter from his vehicle.

07/29/12 Timothy Abair, 22, 17769 Walnut St., Plymouth, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Public Intoxication, Resisting Law Enforcement and Theft.

07/28/12 Tristan Sera Hunter, 22, 10865 E. Division Rd., Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

07/28/12 Sherry Clemans, 26, 1328 High St., Logansport, IN, arrested on three warrants. She had warrants through Starke County on charges of Failure to Appear, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and Possession of Methamphetamine. She also had an active warrant out of Pulaski County for Failure to Appear.

07/28/12 Lavotis French, 46, 807 E. Lake St., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Trespass and Criminal Mischief.

07/27/12 Ashley Bierod, 23, 406 W. John St., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Unauthorized Entry to a Vehicle and Theft.

07/24/12 – A wedding ring was reportedly stolen from the 8900 block of East 25 North in Knox.

07/25/12 – A resident of the 4000 block of South 300 East in Knox told police that a male subject had set their pole barn on fire and took off on a motorcycle.

07/27/12 – A resident of the 11500 block of East 900 South in Culver told police that someone had stolen her medication.

07/27/12 – A resident of the 300 block of Clark Street in Knox told police that someone had stolen items from her home and taken them to the pawn shop.

07/28/12 – A burglary was reported in the 1800 block of North 300 East in Knox.

07/28/12 – A concrete angel was reportedly stolen from the Bass Lake Lions Club.

07/28/12 – Christine Hadley of North Judson told police that someone had stolen her wedding band from her home.

07/28/12 – Vandalism was reported in the 10100 block of West State Road 10 in San Pierre.

07/30/12 – A theft of a lawn ornament was reported in the 6100 block of South Oakwood Avenue in North Judson.
