Pulaski Tree Removal May Turn into Tree Renewal Under Proposed Plan
Pulaski County may have an opportunity to remedy a potential safety hazard while at the same time commemorating Indiana’s Bicentennial.
Winamac Tree Commission member Fred Zahrt approached the Pulaski County Commissioners on Monday night to discuss a tree on the courthouse lawn that appears to be dying. Limbs have been falling from the tree and became a concern last fall.

Starke County Officials Prepare for State Bicentennial Celebration
Starke County will soon have a special flag flying. The local Indiana Bicentennial Committee is designing a flag
for the state’s 200th anniversary in the county. Committee member Melba Shilling brought in a county flag from Ottawa County, Ohio as a suggestion. Pulaski County Sees Legacy Quilt Approved for Bicentennial Celebration
Pulaski County saw its Legacy Project approved prior to celebrating Indiana’s 200th year in existence.
Approval follows a meeting of the Indiana Bicentennial Commission in Lake County on September 18th. The commission is made up of 15 members and looks to execute the statewide celebration of Indiana’s birthday.
