Due to an emergency repair on a water line on East Lake Street in Knox, the water will be shut off affecting houses from the intersection of McGill Street going east down Lake Street.
Knox Mayor Dennis Estok reports that this will affect approximately 50 homes. He noted that there will be a boil order until further notice. Continue reading
Hamlet’s drinking water is once again back to normal. The town’s water customers were under a boil order for four days, before it was lifted Wednesday afternoon.

A boil order was in effect on Friday for a portion of the City of Knox after a water main began leaking.
Areas affected included residences between the 700 and 900 blocks of South Bower Street. The areas between 700 and 900 South Shield Street were also being affected.
