Artifacts Found in Old Pulaski County Building during Demolition

  
 

A demolition order has been moving forward on a property next to the old hotel in Medaryville and Brian Capouch  told the Pulaski County Commissioners this week that they found some historic items in the old floors in the building.

“Underneath the floors, which they had put in in 1910, we found big, thick stacks of newspapers,” told Capuch. “I have a story here, from a Chicago paper, is the notice that Mr. Comiskey is about to build a new ballpark for the Sox. This, for me, was way more valuable, it’s a letter. The old man who had the hotel was ill and this was a letter that he got from a drugist from Royal Center – which was spelled C-e-n-t-r-e at the time, as a receipt for 50 bushels of corn he bought for 46 cents a bushel.

Medaryville Rescinds Letters of Mowing Ordinance Violation

  
 
The Medaryville resident who was facing a number of violations of the town’s mowing ordinance has been let off the hook after he reportedly cleaned up the properties and is now in compliance. According to town council member Derrick Stalbaum, resident Brian Capouch has been hard at work over the last week or so getting the properties cleaned up and compliant with the ordinance.

Medaryville Town Council to Discuss Mowing Ordinance Compliance Tonight

  
 
The town of Medaryville’s mowing ordinance is once again up for discussion as the town council will meet tonight to discuss a resident’s compliance issues. Resident Brian Capouch previously claimed that the town failed to inform him specifically of what his violations were and also asserted that the town’s ordinance was defective and in violation of state code.

Taxpayer Appeals Medaryville Mowing Ordinance Violation, Demands Rescindment

  
 
The town of Medaryville’s mowing ordinance is under review after an appeal by taxpayer Brian Capouch, who claimed he received notices of 10 violations on what the town claims is his property, though he raised a number of questions and complaints regarding the ordinance. Capouch told the council that he has been mowing his properties on a regular basis but still received notices of violations, and when he tried to find out what the violations were, he said he was unable to get anyone to give him a straight answer.
