There will be a handful of new faces on the Winamac Volunteer Fire Department, following a decision made by council members Monday night.

Fire Chief Bill Weaver came before the board to discuss a recent application process that resulted in four individuals being selected to join the department.

The chosen applicants are Cody Fox, Brandon Degroot, Frances Check and Cody Spencer. Chief Weaver said all of the applicants were very energetic during their interviews and they seemed like they’d all be good fits for the department. Continue reading →
