Culver Town Council Prepares for Road Projects Following State Grant Award
The Town of Culver is ready to move ahead with a few street projects now that Community Crossings grant funds have been received.
During a special session on Tuesday afternoon, the Town Council considered bids received for two projects. Paving is planned for Main Street in Culver between Madison and Davis Streets.

INDOT officials are reviewing nearly 1,600 applications for matching grant funding for local road and bridge improvement projects. They were submitted by 325 communities across the state. The Indiana Department of Transportation is awarding additional road funding opportunities for local governments with available projects. It’s part of the road funding efforts settled by the General Assembly earlier this year.
Winamac Identifies Uses for LOIT Distribution

North Judson to Consider Road Plan
North Judson may be the next town to consider applying for a new road funding grant from the state. As part of the Community Crossings program from the Indiana Department of Transportation, towns like North Judson are able to apply for a matching grant, using money from their Rainy Day Fund or the recent distribution of Local Option Income Tax Funds for the local share.
