Indiana Conservation Officers have released the name of the person killed in Sunday’s off-road vehicle crash. Officers say it happened just before 6:00 p.m. along State Road 10 near the Bass Lake Beach.

One person is dead and another is seriously injured after an off-road vehicle crash near Bass Lake. Indiana Conservation Officer Tyler Brock says it happened in the Bass Lake area off of State Road 10.

Indiana Conservation Officers have had their work cut out for them this year, with an increase of over 60% in hunting violations this year. To date, 489 separate hunting violations were reported within District One, which covers the seven north-central counties of St. Joseph, Elkhart, Marshall, Kosciusko, Fulton, Miami, and Wabash. Last year, only 304 violations were reported.
