The Town of Culver may be considering a re-launch of its official Twitter page after a member of the community located an account representing Culver, Indiana and making some less than desirable remarks.

The Culver Town Council spent time reviewing the first ever “StellarFest” during their Tuesday meeting.
Members of the public were invited to join representatives of the Town to learn about the Town’s application as an Indiana Stellar Community. The program is run through the Office of Community and Rural Affairs, and provides planning and grant application assistance.

This week, Town Council members agreed to establish a Local Option Income Tax Fund per the direction of the Department of Local Government Finance. It’s the requirement to properly receive funds designated for road funding and repairs.

Culver to Contact INDOT for SR 10 Speed Reduction
State Road 10 in Culver may see its speed limit reduced, but the change may take up to one year.
The Culver Town Council on Tuesday night considered a request from the Plan Commission to reduce the speed limit on the state highway. No specifics were introduced, but Police Chief Wayne Bean says lowering the speed limit from 45 mph to 35 mph may be appropriate.
