Porter-Starke Cuts Ribbon on Medication-Assisted Treatment Facility in LaPorte

A new facility to help treat those with opioid use disorder was recognized by state and local officials last week. Porter-Starke Services says it opened a new medication-assisted treatment facility in LaPorte back in April and was finally able to host a small, private ribbon-cutting ceremony. Recovery Center LaPorte specializes in methadone services as part of a comprehensive treatment, according to a Porter-Starke press release.

Indiana Expanding Peer Recovery for Hoosiers with Mental Health Issues, Substance Use Disorder

Efforts are underway to expand peer recovery options for Hoosiers dealing with mental health issues and substance use disorder. Governor Holcomb announced this week that more than a million dollars in federal funding has been made available to add at least 40 full- and part-time peer recovery specialists at 16 recovery-based organizations around the state.
