North Judson residents have a new health care option. Pulaski Memorial Hospital Medical and Surgical Group has opened a new physician office at 414 Lane Street. The move marks the return of Dr. Curtis Bejes to North Judson as the facility’s medical director. He’ll be joined by nurse practitioners Beth Ruff and Chantel Anderson. According to a press release, the office will initially focus on family medicine, offering medical care to patients of all ages.
Local Physician Taking Leave of Absence from Practice
A local physician with deep roots in Starke County is making a change. Dr. Curtis Bejes is a North Judson native who has been practicing medicine in his home town for 18 years.
“Although I’ve enjoyed my time here immensely, I’ve decided to take some time away from my practice,” Bejes said. He added he’s not selling his home or leaving the area for good. He is taking a year off to do other things. Continue reading
Local Doctor Presented with Outstanding Teaching Award

The IU Health LaPorte physician who has a practice in North Judson was the recipient of the 2012-2013 Outstanding Teaching Award for being an exceptional educator, a passionate teacher and an engaged provider. Those who evaluated Dr. Bejes determined that he had a student-centered approach and help students develop clinical skills and family medicine.
The Outstanding Teaching Award was presented by the Predoctoral Education Division of the IU Department of Family Medicine.
