Masks to Be Optional at North Judson-San Pierre Schools under Certain Conditions

North Judson-San Pierre school officials discuss updates to the school corporation’s mask protocols during Tuesday’s meeting.

Masks will once again be optional at the North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation, but they could become mandatory if student quarantines start creeping back up. Under a measure approved by the school board Tuesday, masks will be optional starting Monday. But if the percentage of students in quarantine reaches 15 in a specific school building, a two-week mask mandate would be put in place for that school.

COVID-19 Surge Brings Challenges for Pulaski Memorial Hospital, County Health Department

Pulaski County’s COVID-19 situation is getting bad, according to Terri Hansen with the Pulaski County Health Department. “Things are actually really getting out of hand, I guess, to say right now,” Hansen told the county commissioners Tuesday. “As of today, we’ve had 1,466 cases in the county. We are currently at a metric of 2.5. We’re in the orange, and we are this close to going in the red.”

Governor Continues Easing Mask Mandate but They’re Still Required in Some Places

Governor Holcomb is easing some of Indiana’s remaining mask requirements, but a few will remain in place. Starting Tuesday, masks will no longer be required in most state government buildings. But they will still be required at COVID-19 testing and vaccination sites, Indiana prisons, state hospitals, and other congregate facilities owned by the state.
