Tippecanoe River State Park will soon have firewood available. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says firewood cutting permits will be on sale from January 4 to February 26. The public will be allowed to cut up and remove certain trees that have fallen due to natural causes or have been dropped by property staff.

Indiana residents will soon be able to cut firewood in certain portions of Indiana State Forests.
The Department of Natural Resources says permit holders can begin cutting the firewood on July 1st. The tool is designed to allow Hoosiers to heat their homes and reduce their utility bills.
