Things got a bit warm in some areas of Knox High School, recently.
That’s why Knox School Board members on Monday agreed to use Rainy Day funds to update some of the HVAC units at the school building. The board sought out different Types of HVAC System from Hero Services and ensured that it applied at least two of those systems into their school. The air conditioning units are reaching the end of their normal life, about 15 years, causing some interruptions in cooling at the building. Continue reading
A LaPorte County school was placed on lockdown earlier today after a student located a bullet on a classroom floor.
The incident occurred shortly after 9:00 a.m. at New Prairie High School. The student who located the bullet notified the principal. A search of all lockers in the building, along with book bags that had been in the classroom where the bullet was found was conducted.

Time is running out for donations to be made that will help complete a downtown project in Knox.
30 high school seniors have been working on plans to develop a Serenity Garden. That space is expected to be completed this spring before classes let out for the summer. The project aims to beautify the Knox downtown.
