Governor Signs More COVID-19-Related Executive Orders

Governor Eric Holcomb continues to ease some restrictions while tightening others in the response to COVID-19. An executive order signed Tuesday will allow for electronic notary services, so documents can be reviewed and approved remotely. It also extends the deadline for Hoosier Lottery winners to claim the prizes and gives additional flexibility for scheduling horse races.

Hoosier Lottery Jackpot Hits $12.3 Million

Tonight’s Hoosier Lottery Jackpot is worth a whopping $12.3 million. It’s been steadily growing since Oct. 2, 2014 when it was last hit. Tickets cost $1 per play. PowerBall Jackpot Hits $380 million

Hoosiers are historically lucky when it comes to the multi-state game. Of the 44 jurisdictions that sell Powerball tickets, Indiana has sold more winners than any other with 38. Other non-jackpot prizes of up to $2 million are also available.

The Hoosier Lottery is adding three new drawings. Starting tomorrow, midday drawings will take place each Sunday for the Daily 3, Daily 4 and Quick Draw games. Currently, midday drawings for all three games are conducted Monday through Saturday. The Sunday drawing schedule will match the existing schedule for Monday through Saturday drawings. Bremen Convenience Store Sells Winning Powerball Ticket

Hoosier Lottery officials say a ticket worth $1 million was purchased at the Speedway on West Plymouth Street in Bremen. It matches the first five numbers, but not the Powerball. Those numbers are: 1, 5, 10, 15, 49, and the Powerball is 22.

The Hoosier Lottery is taking up a noble cause with their new モLucky Dogヤ scratch-off tickets. Hoosier Lottery officials have announced they will be visiting local shelters and retailers around the state, hosting wheel-spin promotions and encouraging the adoption of animals.

At local shelters, donation boxes will be placed allowing visitors to donate unscratched or scratched winning Lucky Dog tickets, or any other Hoosier Lottery scratch-off ticket, as a way to help the shelter raise funds. In addition, anyone who adopts a pet from a participating shelter will receive a scratch-off ticket while supplies last.

The Powerball jackpot is estimated at $300 million and Hoosiers are heading to retailers to pick up some tickets in the hope of being set for life with a few winning numbers. Next week, the Hoosier Lottery is offering a new chance to win for people who buy two or more Powerball plays on a single ticket, as they will receive a free Quick Draw play with the chance to win up to $300,000 in the nightly draw.

Hoosier Lottery Launches New Campaign

A new advertising campaign by the Hoosier Lottery is beginning this week.

The new campaign, known as “Imagine That,” invited Indiana residents to share their dreams if they won the Hoosier Lottery. The Hoosier Lottery hosted five casting calls in four cities across the state and also accepted dreams through its YouTube channel. Hundreds of “dreams” were submitted, but only 50 made the cut and they will be featured in various advertising formats including TV, radio, print and outdoor media.

Along with the new campaign, the Hoosier Lottery is incorporating functional enhancements into the home page of its website to make it more user-friends.

Hoosier Lottery officials say a ticket sold there is worth $!62,000. The winning numbers were 9-15-21-27-34. The winner has yet to come forward. If you’ve won, be sure to sign the back of the ticket and contact the Hoosier Lottery for instructions on how to redeem your prize. Powerball Jackpot at $425 Million – Good Luck!

Wednesday’s estimated Powerball jackpot is $425 million – the largest jackpot ever in the game.

Only one other time in lottery history has the jackpot crossed over the $400 million mark and that happened with the Mega Millions jackpot went all the way to $656 million.

Hoosier Lottery to Seek Private-Sector Vendor

Four years after Governor Mitch Daniels tried to privatize the Hoosier Lottery, the agency is seeking proposals from private-sector firms. The Indiana State Lottery Commission announced yesterday that they are seeking proposals from private firms in hopes of improving the agency’s net income.

Hoosier Lottery Spokesman Al Larson says this is not privatization. He says the Hoosier Lottery is still a state agency and will continue to be owned and directed by the state – they are simply seeking a potential vendor that believes they can help improve performance with operational expertise. He adds the Hoosier Lottery already has vendor relationships in place and that this is nothing new to the Hoosier Lottery or the lottery industry in general.

Muncie Woman Looks Forward to Being Debt-Free After Winning Scratch-Off

A Muncie woman plans to pay off her student loans after turning $3 into $50,000, thanks to a Hoosier Lottery Scratch-off. Jennifer Reichert claimed her $50,000 prize at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis on April 30.

The mother of three says being debt-free will be wonderful, having won the Wild Cherry Crossword Tripler Scratch-off, which she says is her favorite game.

Reichert purchased her winning ticket at P and J Food Mart in Muncie.

Since its inception in 1989, the Hoosier Lottery has produced $4 billion in net income for the citizens of Indiana, nearly $1 billion in commissions and bonuses for participating Indiana retailers, and has paid out $8.5 billion in player prizes.

The Hoosier Lotto jackpot is up to $1 million, and the Powerball’s estimated jackpot is up to $60 million. The Hoosier Lottery reminds players to always play responsibly and always sign the back of their tickets.
